The quality of this is very low. This does not have rubber base grip. All hard plastic. No grip on the bottom so it slides when you try to slice it. The blade does not lift up. So the cut is very thin. The hard plastic piece that sits on whatever you are cutting to grip it is worthless. You get what you pay for. Very disappointed in this item.

Its nice. A little smaller than I imagined but still does the job it's supposed to do. The blad is sharp and cuts smoothly

Washed it by hand and used it once and it worked fine - I wasn’t expecting much for the price.Ran it through the dishwasher and the clear collection box melted.

I had a recipe that called for essentially a dozen sliced cloves of garlic and I knew there was no way I was going to tackle that task by hand just cutting over and over.Enter this mandolin! Like another reviewer said this mandolin is not meant for bigger jobs but very small and compact veggies. That's what makes it perfect for slicing up something like a clove of garlic.Takes a little bit of adjustment to get used to but when you develop a rhythm then its all one fluid motion and you can get through a dozen cloves like its nothing. I like the little yellow lever that allows you to adjust the thickness so that depending on what I'm working with I can customize it better to either have melt and disappear slices or slightly thicker slices that are cut evenly and will feel pleasant in the mouth.Mandolin is just the right size to fit in a drawer and cleans up very easily. Be mindful of the blade but outside of that I don't find anything wrong with this tool. Highly recommend, like the bright red color so that you can't loose it easily and perfect for small but somewhat overwhelming jobs.

Hard to select thickness of slices, completely to small, you have to cut your vegetables down to in order to use, I wouldn’t recommend this.

It works well with garlic, that’s about it…very small…..
