VehoVUS-002-5B SAEM S7 Case with 8GB Integrated USB Memory Drive for iPhone 5/5S/SE - Black

If you're anything like me, you'll find that most phone cases disappoint. In one way or another, they normally detract something from the usability of the phone itself in order to provide a higher level of protection. However, I've finally found one that minimises these compromises and provide a decent level of protection and adds some genuinely useful features.Let's start off by looking at this case's trump card. The integrated 8gb memory stick. This is most probably the main reason why you're clicking on this link because, if you're like me, a memory stick isn't something that you consciously decide to carry with you every day like you would with your keys, wallet or phone. However, a memory stick is enough of a necessity that you'll be caught out every so often when you actually have a need for one. This is where this case is great for me, the integrated memory stick sits flush with the back of the case and doesn't add anything to the thickness. It's surprisingly thin and slides in and out with a reassuring click. Everyone who's seen it think it's the coolest thing they've seen with almost all of them not even realising that there's a memory stick built in. It gives you that James Bond level of gadget cool.There are some downsides. It's only USB 2.0 meaning that the file read/write speed isn't great but neither is the 8gb capacity. However, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. For me, the idea of this stick isn't one to load up with media and large files. I find this stick is more useful when you need to give your boss that special document, a potential employer your CV or just the odd time you want to copy the odd, no copyrighted (of course :P) song from your friend's PC. For these smaller files or just the odd larger file transfer, the higher capacity and fast read/write speeds don't become as important. This is just your backup, always on you, memory stick. Also, in the pictures, the memory stick appears to be made out of metal. Don't be fooled.... it's not! It's plastic and unfortunately, the silver texture does start to slightly rub off after a while.For the purposes of this review, I decided to do a very quick and perhaps not to scientific performance test. I decided to write a movie (2001: A Space Odyssey if you must know) from my computer's SSD to this stick and also to my SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 memory stick (one of the highest performing memory sticks on the market). The file was 875mb and it took the SAEM stick 2 minutes and 43 seconds to write the file to it with an average write speed of around 5 MB/s. Pretty poor, I know! That same file took 10 seconds on the SanDisk with a write speed of 95 MB/s. So, don't buy this expecting it to actually be a fast memory stick. For small documents of a few megabytes though, this will do the job.Now onto the actual case itself. It's very thin at only a couple of mm thick and thus, doesn't offer the best protection out there. However, this does mean it retains its usability. I'll give the case credit though, it has protected my phone from a careless fiancee who decided to drop it onto a concrete floor as she's getting out the car ..... multiple times ! Most importantly, it provides a bit of padding in between the the edge of the phone screen and the floor. Any of you who own an iPhone 5/5s/SEwill know that the screen sits above the phone's metal chassis and is normally the first thing to make contact with the floor. This protection extends around the sides and corners but not directly the top and bottom of the screen. This is a trade-off that I'm willing to make though. Other cases I have had have protected the bottom better but this meant that I wasn't able to plug certain headphones in or stick it in my speaker dock without removing the phone first. This case seems to work with almost any headphones and still slots into my JBL dock just fine.The case looks more glossy in the pictures. In person, the black version is more of a matte, soft touch material which both looks and feels pretty nice. It's slightly soft and spongy, which will most probably act as a slight impact absorbing material too, and provides good grip. It has got the odd mark on the back from the contact with the concrete but nothing too major. But heck! at the price this case is at the moment, I can afford to replace it every three months if I wanted to.On a side note, it seems that the manufacturer no longer makes these. It's a shame because I can't find any other similar products. There's still a lot of stock of this case around but it would be nice to see higher capacity, USB 3.0 versions for this phone and bigger versions for the iPhone 6/6s. Keep that in mind Veho if you're reading this. I'd defiantly buy an updated version when I get my new phone.Would I recommend? YesWould I buy again? Yes

Bit of hard plastic with a men stick in back I would have gone crazy if I paid 34 quid for this piece of junk no protection at all avoid this buy a men stick on its own

Well, I was persuaded by the good reviews on this product, but I wouldn't buy it again because the rubbery texture peels off in two weeks and leaves ugly marks. Other than that, it's pretty useful, but I wanted elegant and useful...

Nice fitting, smart looking case, genius idea with the USB, comes in so handy for work and what not. Light duty protection

I am really pleased with this cover....it fits my 5s really well...the phone is protected on the back and all of the buttons etc are accessible..the phone feels good in my hand....the cover is sort of rubberised...The 8gb pen drive is useful and is easy to remove and replace....it seems to stay in the cover well so I'm not worried about losing it...It seems useful and well made...

This is basically a case that holds a memory card. It's not an extension of your phones memory at all like advertised.If I could get a refund I would.

Fabulous had one on my old phone (4s) searched for this fits like a glove and is strong would recommend every time

Confesso che viste le numerose cadute del mio Iphone 5s, e aver ormai consumato la mia vecchia cover in plastica, ho deciso di acquistare questa qui in super offerta (prodotto PLUS per poco meno di euro 4). Ebbene, non solo la cover si presenta di eccellente qualità, robustezza e perfetta aderenza, ma cosa non scontata, contiene anche una mini chiave USB utilizzabile e perfettamente funzionante.Sicuramente il vostro Iphone peserà di piu' perché è una cover che ovviamente si fa sentire visto il suo scopo, ma oggettivamente considerando la qualità e il prezzo ridicolo, per me è eccellente sotto ogni punto di vista.

La idea de integrar un usb de 8gb en el protector esta muy bien. Buena calidad precio pero deja apretado el boton de bajar volumen, o lo rascas tú para q rebaje y no toque o no entra perfecta. GRAN ERROR

No le pongo un 1 porque el pincho funciona correctamente, pero lo que es la funda es bastante mala. En una semana ya está marron y como las esquinas levantadas. es muy bonita pero no para usarla, en unos días se ha quedado fatal.

Positiv:-der speicher wird vom rechner erkannt-super nützliche sache/ideeNegativ:-hartplastik case, sehr rutschig auf tischen usw und nicht sehr angenehm in der hand-speicherkarte rutsch sehr schnell aus dem case (musste schon mehrfach danach suchen)Fazit:insgesamt weniger empfehlenswert.die ursprüngliche variante mit einem speicherstick u einer vernünftigen handyhülle ist zu bevorzugen

Buona aderenza al telefonino, comodo avere una chiavetta sempre a portata di mano. Unico neo: si fa fatica ad estrarre la chiavetta.
