First time using and I must say will be using instead of just 4 beards that left my face itching under my beard and mustache for 2 weeks after use because it has PPD in it. 2 weeks later after using this no itch at all. The color doesn't stay as long even shampooing with recommended product. But not having to deal with the itch, priceless. edit: WENT TO ORDER AGAIN 45 DAYS LATER AND NOW $3 HIGHER!!!! I HOPE YOU READ THIS AMAZON BECAUSE THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME YOU JACK UP THE PRICE TO REPURCHASE A ITEM AND ALSO HIGHER WHEN LOOKING AT ITEMS AND WHEN YOU HAVE PRIME. HOW DO I KNOW THIS? I GO INTO AN ACCOUNT OTHER THAN MINE AND THERES A PRICE DIFFERENCE THAT IS THE SAME AS ORIGINAL...... I tried this brand because the other brand I used gave me a crazy rash. This one did not give me a rash, but no matter how long I left it on, when I washed it, all the color came off. I tried multiple times. Same result each time. I followed directions to the T. Even left it on 20 minutes longer than recommended the third time I tried. Still just washed out the color.

I have very sensitive skin, and every conventional beard dye has caused me literal chemical burns on my face. I found one that was plant based, and did work, but it involves a 2 hour process with this thick paste on your face that dries to crumbly bits and gets everywhere. It didn't bother my skin but it was a big pain to do. I searched more and found the Herb brand and decided to give it a try because per the instructions it works in about 20 minutes or so. I was skeptical and prepared to deal with more injuries but I wanted to at least see. I'm happy to report that I've used it twice now and haven't had any skin issues either time. Application is with 2 different creams, you apply the first one and wait 10 minutes, then apply the second one over the first. It will turn dark immediately, then you wait 10 more minutes or so and wash out. It's much quicker than my previous solution and works well. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is that sometimes the coverage is spotty. I'm still learning the nuances of how to apply both creams consistently, so it might be user error but the instructions should cover this more thoroughly. Other than that I'm happy with this product and will continue to use it.

So glad I found this stuff! I was about to give up on dying my goatee all together due to the skin irritation I developed using store bought JFM. Never had skin irritation for years then suddenly I began getting redness and itchy skin wherever I applied JFM. I tried this stuff and no more redness and skin irritation! I can’t speak for others, but for me it lasts the same length of time as JFM.

This product IS gentle on your skin, no irritation and my skin is very sensitive to the other hair dye products and it does work, covers gray well, but... the color is very dark, and it fades to a purple color... so unless you keep your hair dyed dark and don't allow it to fade, you will end up with purple/gray hair... This is only my experience... but I thought I'd share... 😕

I struggled with other brands burning my face so bad it would blister, this doesn’t smell very good it smells like when someone is getting a perm, but the results are amazing! If you follow the instructions! I seen reviews saying it turns purple and washes out fast, etc.. it has a purple tint to it when applying the second cream, but turns out just fine if done right! And it lasts at least 2 weeks! My second application and I’m happy!

Hands down the worst beard dye on the market. Dyes no better than the average drugstore variety. When washed, lets off huge amounts of dye that gets everywhere - had to scrub off my shower to make sure it dosent stain (I don’t know if it does, just a precaution but because it got everywhere). But the WORST, is the smell. It smells exactly like blood, that unmistakable metallic smell, Once color 2 is applied and you have to deal with that for 10 mins. This is a serious deal breaker. A lot of other dyes also smell like chemicals but this one is simply intolerable, making it impossible to use the product incthe first place. Also, 20 minute wait time and 2 applications is longer than any other dye (most are one mixed application, 10 mins)
