Fortibone, the active ingredient in Osteo Boost, has been shown to improve bone density significantly, though the study was funded by the manufacturer so should perhaps be taken with a grain of salt. As with any treatment to increase bone density, it takes months or years to notice any effect. In the meantime, Osteo Boost is easy to take. The powder dissolves easily in warm water, though I haven't tried it in tea or other liquids. The unflavored variety really is unflavored, and the orange flavor is quite pleasant without any artificial aftertaste that I can detect. It's not clear why the recommended serving is 10 grams, according to Consumer Labs the research that found a significant effect was based on five grams a day. So in the interest of saving some money, and also not having to drink the extra liquid even if the taste is pleasant, I've been taking half the recommended dose. Since I also get a good amount of collagen from my diet, I'm hoping that will be enough to make a difference.

I am dealing with osteopenia and don't want it to get worse so I started taking collagen over a year ago. I have experimented with many brands and this one is a winner. I took a nasty fall on ice this past winter and surprisingly did not break any bones. I am 68 years old so I give all the credit to my consuming collagen on a daily basis. After the fall I started researching what would be the best type of collagen for my osteopenia and discovered that Sparkle offered a product made with a higher percent of Fortibone that was available on Amazon, and at a discount, so I just had to try it and I am so glad I did. I consume this collagen every morning in my black coffee and am delighted to report that this product has no taste, no smell, dissolves immediately, and leaves no residue or aftertaste after swallowing so this is perfect for me. This product sadly comes in a zip lock type bag and without a scoop but fortunately it is delivered in a nice cardboard box so if there is a spill it will be in the box. I do wish they went back to their plastic tubs (I reused the tubs) with a screw on lid and would also included a scoop for easier dosing... or at least offere a scoop for purchase but they don't. I have purchased several bags now since my mishap and am hoping this particular product with the higher amount of Fortibone will help improve my bone density when I have my next DEXA scan done later this year. I highly recommend this product!

Having osteoperosis, year before last I went on a rampage finding everything with independent studies demonstrating efficacy. Fortibone was one of those things, and I've been taking it in addition to other osteoblast-stimulating or osteoclast-suppressing foods and supplements. My spine and femur bone density is up 9%,, if the hip weren't being stubborn I'd only be osteopenic now. But hips take longer to rebuild. I plan to continue taking this. Quality is impeccable every time and their delivery is highly reliable. With several of those aforementioned foods and supplements on subscription, you don't really appreciate a consistent reliable product producer until you have some that just... aren't. And if you're in the osteoperosis boat, get on: This, k2 mk7, natto, d3, occasional calcium, French maritime pine bark extract, estrogen, and black currants. Yeah, black currants. The little raisin-lookin things. Google it, they're little osteoblast bombs and they taste pretty good. The natto, sadly, does not taste pretty good but it, too, is a boon for osteoblasts. I had knee surgery w/ complications so that massive percentage increase was with zero heavy weightlifting.

I love how the unflavored collagen mixes with everything, especially my coffee!!! I feel like it is helping with fortifying my bones. Great price for this product!

The ingredients are great. The problem is the taste/after taste. If you mix very vigorously with something like Gatorade, you can kind of mask it enough to quickly drink. It definitely has a distinctive taste, though. If you mix it in smoothies, I’ll notice even after using a blender, it will chunk up on the bottom or side. You also need multiple scoops to get the amount listed on the bag.

My physician recommended this as an aid towards helping osteoporosis. I’m looking forward to my next bone density reading!

Dissolves well and is flavorless mixed on drinks. I believe it is effective as my nails are stronger so I hope my bones are too. I find it to be priced fairly and is of good quality. Comes with a sheet in it to keep it dry and from clumping.

To me, it has a slight taste. I normally use one that isn't available at this time due to the Canadian postal situation. It has no taste. The serving size is large, also. You have to use the 2 scoops.
