Good strong straps with strong buckle but not ratchet
I got these straps to address a long-standing problem I had with my guest Futon Mattress. I roll it up and put it away when not in use and it is very heavy (~20KG/44lb) and unwieldy when rolled up. A real struggle to move about. The 25mm/1” wide straps are very strong and the stitching is good. The product description says ‘ratchet’ but it doesn’t have a ratchet, it’s a galvanised steel friction buckle. That said, it’s easy enough to apply a decent tension and the ‘sprung toothed grip face’ of the buckle design ensures a really good grip that doesn’t slip loose. You can also pull hard to get things tight and the sprung buckle just latches onto the webbing strap as soon as you release the tension. With the 2.4m/8ft length, I was able to roll up the Futon mattress nice and tight, loop the strap over twice in a crossover pattern and still have reach to lock in the strap tail and cinch the mattress even tighter. An excellent result which now means the rolled-up mattress now resembles a firm cylinder that’s much easier to move about and stow (see pics). The strap ends are heat cut/sealed and squared off, which can make them a bit fiddly to feed into the buckle – a diagonal cut would have made them easier to use, but that’s easy enough to rectify with a hot knife...The 2-pack is reasonable value but the 4-pack is even better value for several quid morePros 👍:✔️ Strong✔️ Good stitching✔️ Good length at 2.4m/8ft✔️ Good buckle design ✔️ Reasonable value, even better value for 4-packCons👎:❌ Not ratchet as described❌ Squared strap ends can be fiddly to feed into buckle

Not bed tensioners.
Not bad tensioners so far.Quite rigid straps what is helpful, quality of buckles will be seen only with time and under influence of elements..

Good to secure bulky or awkward items for storage or transport.
Typical example of an application is to keep folding garden chairs held firmly folded for handling and storage in the off season. Or furling a caravan or tent awning. Finally securing a folded and rolled tent or gazebo to get it back into a storage bag or box.Nice straps with an all-metal buckle and thick 25mm webbing. When engaged the clamp will resist a good yank on the strap trying to pull it back through the buckle. Easy to open though by pressing the sprung jaw open.Note these don't have a ratchet function so tightening is just by pulling the webbing through the buckle. Construction is probably too light to use them to secure loads onto roof bars or a carrier for a long journey, unless they are used in conjunction with another clamping method.

Good and useful hold-down strap - NOT a ratchet
Firstly, I must make it clear that this is NOT a 'ratchet' strap. It does not have any ratchet mechanism to allow continued tightening by operation of a lever. It IS a strap which can be pulled tight around an object/load then secured in that position by pushing shut the spring tensioned grip. The webbing and stitching seem good; the 'clasp', not so much. The product (which I received free of charge under the Vine Programme) comes in a two pack and they worked very well on securing an old microwave oven to a trolley and securing some items in the boot of my car. I'm not so sure how reliable they would be in tying down objects on a roof rack (to be fair, I haven't tried) but certainly will be useful in a variety of 'hold-down' scenarios. At the price advertised, and for what the straps can do, this product is, in my opinion, reasonable value for the money and I have only deducted stars because of the multiple use of the word 'Ratchet' in the advertisement which could be misleading to buyers.

Superb durability
I used these straps to hold together some heavy sandbags against my boxing bag. They are really simple to use with you just needing to wrap them round, pull tight and clasp them in. They feel really secure and I would expect the durablility they have given they are made of high strength polyester fibre. I can't see these failing, ever, and if they do I'll update this review.Of course, my experience is only based on my use of the straps, they are really able to be used for anything and different uses may stress the bands in varying ways - so be aware of this when picking these up.

They do the job
These are fairly standard tie down straps. They are very useful to have and can be very versatile. So far we've only used them for containing / compressing a bedding bundle when going camping (my wife isn't a fan of sleeping bags). They seem nice and solid. I can't comment on the stated strength as I've only used them for a lightweight purpose so far. These often have a tapered end to make it easier to feed the strap through the buckle, but these ones are squared; it wasn't a major problem though. Is it stands, I have no major qualms with them. This pair of 2.5m tie down straps is selling for £5.99 at the time of this review. That seems like an okay price to me, but the packs with more in are definitely better value for money.
