watertight, when carrying?

I bought mine for dry goods but have experimented with approx 1/3 full of water. When the lids "click" in place then the seal is very tight and I would say if transported upright and secured there should be no liquid leakage however the lids are then very hard to remove. Hope this helps.

Water based paint it's alright with so far. But it's a reasonable size, so after use I have decanted spare paint into smaller tubs. Not sure about oil paint sorry.
