My male cat absolutely loves this food. From the moment I start opening the pouch, he walks over to where his bowl goes and sits and waits patiently for it. The texture is perfect, and he devours every last bit. I appreciate that the ingredients are high-quality, with real chicken and turkey, and it's grain-free, which is great for his health. It's been a struggle to find a food that he genuinely enjoys, but this one is a clear winner. Highly recommend for any cat owner looking to please their picky eater!

It has a broth and the food itself is soft, pate texture. my cat is super picky and we have been through all of the brands...the cheap and the expensive...the natural and the processed...but this stuff she instantly fell in love with. it also doesn't smell weird, it smells like actual turkey/chicken. the only thing that sucks is that sometimes food will get stuck in the pouch itself. when i go to feed her, i try not to mush it up in my hand so as to avoid residual food on the sides cuz then u really gotta scrape it out.

Oddly, both this and a bottle of supplements showed up at the same time both reeking of fragrance, both bought from amazon itself, but they were shipped from separate warehouses so the incidents are not linked. What a bizarre coincidence. It's cheap enough getting a refund wouldn't be worth the hassle but I'm sure not feeding it to any cats, fragrance is full of dangerous chemicals and can easily soak through plastic. Beware if you buy in the next few months, I suspect a bottle of cologne may have been broken in the warehouse near where they store this product so it likely will continue to be a problem for a long time. As for the product I like it, will be seeking out a real petfood store to get more. The phosphorus, sodium and carb stats on this line are really good! Maybe not for an end stage kidney patient but good enough for early stages and for any healthy cat you want to protect from becoming a kidney patient. The "with gravy" ones are that sort of runny coarse pate that won't stay homogenous, the liquid seeps out after ten minutes leaving a puddle around the lump of solids. My one cat finds that a huge turnoff. We do very well with the pate options, which are a tad too runny but still nice because they stay homogenous and have a smooth, silky texture. I have had some bad luck with maybe 20% of the packs I have bought being spoiled. It's cheap enough that tossing some out sometimes is not too painful but I kind of worry... Obviously their quality control measures are inadequate, so what if one day the food sickens my cats? Still, the packs that aren't stinky and slimy are nice and fresh! Many cat food are in that grey area between spoiled and fresh routinely, so sadly, the fact that BFF's product is usually fresh is a big deal. Between the decent odds of high quality, and the great nutritional stats, it's still well worrth buying despite imperfections. I wish I had started buying BFF years earlier.

This food seems to be the most gentle on my 14-yr old kittie's belly (I'll spare the details lol). Also, she wasn't eating for a while and this variety got her interested in eating again.

We particularly like this as it doesn't smell so fishy like many products do. Our cat sits and stares at me as it gets closer to treat time. Highly recommend.
