As a leisure PC builder I found that the USB connector is the most delicate connector on any motherboard. It is very easy to bend the pins and short out the board through this connector. This product cuts that down. By adding on of these it will prevent you from damaging the connector. If you happen to accidently damage the pins by plugging it in, it will be on one of these very affordable adapters and not your $100+ motherboard. If it was to happen you can just very carefully remove the adapter and replace it with another one. And it also makes it more clean looking. I highly recommend for any novice builder to even the most advanced builder. I call them second chance adapters cause they really are.

I purchased this because my motherboard has its internal USB 3.0 header angled sideways and the cable connector was hitting the case (Meshify 2 Compact). I liked that it's only a PCB instead of a cable extension, so less likely to have interference. The female connector fits perfectly in the motherboard, not too loose like I've read in reviews for other similar products.
