How It Works The Rain Train traveling sprinkler uses the water pressure from your garden hose to power the transmission that ultimately rotates the large back wheels. Customized Path The Rain Train is self-propelled along the pattern laid out by the hose. Auto Shut-Off The Rain Train includes automatic shut-off which prevents water waste. Review: Send for Nelson - This is a tough guy lawn sprinkler. It is heavy, appears to be well made and even with our poor mains water pressure, it still slowly trundles across the lawn, watering as it goes and pulling to hose behind it. It means I can set my water timer to a few hours at night and leave the sprinkler to do its work. I have tried all the cheaper sprinklers that are supposed to spray around 300 degrees. None of them work because of the lack of water pressure. Recommended.

**Q: Will it travel over a typical Hozelock straight connector? or do I need one long single piece hose?**
A: Hello. The rain Train Travelling Sprinkler should only be used with a ½ inch or ¾ inch thick hose. Anything thicker than that and it may not travel over it.

**Q: what water pressure is required?**
A: We run it on normal tap pressure which seems quite high it runs slowly but gives the bowling green a good soaking

**Q: Will this attach to a Hozelock adaptor?**
A: You need a 3/4" adapter like this: Hozelock Accessory Adaptor https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000TAQZNW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_8GojBb6QD2V70 that screws into the back of the tractor

**Q: Does anyone know what pressure this needs to have to function properly? We have 35 psi and it doesn’t move and sometimes even the arms stop rotating.**
A: Not sure at what low pressure this item will work down to, I understand that the average water pressure in the UK is around 4-6 bar (1 bar is approx. 14 psi) so if your pressure is only 35psi this appears to be low. the manufacturers recommend 5/8" hose at around 40psi which will give a range of spread at different speeds

This is a tough guy lawn sprinkler. It is heavy, appears to be well made and even with our poor mains water pressure, it still slowly trundles across the lawn, watering as it goes and pulling to hose behind it. It means I can set my water timer to a few hours at night and leave the sprinkler to do its work. I have tried all the cheaper sprinklers that are supposed to spray around 300 degrees. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Sprinkler

I've wanted one of these for ages and Amazon's global delivery made it a viable option. (I nearly wrote a negative review about the delivery but just because my local distrubution hub (yodel) lost the parcel for a few days and then delivered the package in a battered state this is probably just unlucky - it took about 12 days overall). Its built like a tank and copes fairly well with slopes and poor ground, but I wouldnt use it on completely bare earth though as I would imagine it might bog down on wet light soil. The benefit of being able to set it going and not have to move the sprinkler every 15 minutes is far greater than I thought it would be - well worth getting if you have a larger lawn. Ive so far had it towing 60 feet of hose - I think it will do 100 no problem - I would say our water pressure is moderate. I had an adaptor to convert to 1/2 hose lying around but you will likely need to get one. The gear box and gears are plastic - which isnt a surprise and look like they can be replaced as a piece if needed - but I dont think it will strip them easily - as a precaution I move it around with the gear lever in neutral. Lawns looking better already !
