We went on a hike last weekend and he was very pleased with them.They are very lightweight and he was quite surprised at the support the poles gave him when going up a hill or down the hill. He is very happy and pleased with these hiking poles.Another thing we liked about them is that they come with snow and mud baskets that might come very handy in the winter. Also an extra thing that these ones have compared to my ones is the two pole connectors to keep them together.As an extra is also the carrying bag, good to store them when not in use and also to take them in the car.
