High quality & great comfort sling bag
Bellroy is top notch and well worth the price. I use this sling bag so much. Chic enough for my style and exceptional in design and comfort. I have shoulder issues and have gone through many cheap sling bags when I should have purchased this one long ago. I also use the Bellroy city tote a lot too and it’s great for travel or daily use without being heavy or too big. The same is true of this sling. It holds so much and is so lightweight it’s not a problem and never feels heavy. It doesn’t hurt my neck or shoulders and it can take the wear and tear of daily running around. The strap has a strong magnetic feature, which is why I bought it, but honestly I don’t even need to use that. It’s easy enough to slide right on and off without causing me shoulder pain. Truly great sling for anyone. I highly recommend it.

Like this better than the Sling Mini and Venture Sling
Love Bellroy products. Love the aesthetics of them, the materials, and the company. I have a lot of their products. I have tried a lot of the various sling variations. The sling mini looks great. Absolutely love the simple, clean look, but the magnetic buckle was not in an accessible place based on how I wear the bag. And it was hard to open the bag all the way open when it's against my body because of the design and fabric. Being in a rush and having to open the bag was sometimes frustrating trying to locate something. Additionally, it really needed 1-2 more interior organization pockets, which was unfortunate that it didn't have. Ultimately, returned the sling mini even though I love the look. The Venture sling is great. I have that one. It's bigger. The zipper made it easier to access your items. The option to unbuckle the bag on either side was helpful, but the buckle on the Venture isn't as attractive as the sling mini. It's not magnetic, but appears to be plastic. It actually broke and I contacted Bellroy at which they promptly sent a new one! The Venture sling was mostly the answer but the stiff fabric makes it hard to open the bag up nice and wide. The Lite sling appears to solve a lot of these issues and I'm happy! The magnetic buckle is on the side that I would use most. The strap is not as thick and bulky as it is on the Venture. The bag is "light", and easy to open up wide with the same zipper design as the Venture. There is one additional pocket inside the sling. Sounds like a small deal, but even one pocket is helpful since you can quickly open the bag up wide. The key leash from the Venture is on here also (sling mini had a cheaper, plastic, and short key hook inside the bag that made it so clunky to grab your keys). Overall - I think the Lite sling is a great compromise between the Venture and sling mini/original sling variation.

i guess i'm a sling guy now
I recently went on a week-long trip and by the end of it I was convinced that having a sling would make my next trip significantly better. I spent so much of the trip with a half empty backpack I had to carry around because it was the only way to tote the stuff I needed. I also do lots of little outings with my young son on the weekends where having more supplies than what can fit in my pockets is really useful. Finally, after getting this sling, I've realized I can carry everything I need for my trips to the gym! In the attached photo, I've got keys, wallet, earbuds, sanitizer, sweat towel, water bottle, hanky, glasses wipes (and a Tile that's always in there). I don't need all the pockets and dividers that are in many other slings, because while it holds a ton of stuff, it's not THAT big, so I can always find what I need easily, and there's only a couple spots to look in this thing. I'm also a big fan of how NOT tacticool the look is, which is common in other slings as well. Zippers are really smooth and high quality, but basically impossible to use with a single hand. The strap is comfortable and strong. The compression system on the sides is really clever, and helps keep things from falling out if the zippers aren't closed, and keeps as low a profile as possible on your body at all times. The clasp is magic. I don't understand how it can be so easy to open but also so secure when it's closed. Honestly I never thought I'd pay this much for such a small bag, but as long as it doesn't fall apart on me in the near future, I'd say it's fully worth it.

Great bag but not 7 liters
I really like this bag. It has been my everyday bag for about a year now because I hate having a crapload of stuff in my pockets. I took it traveling in Europe as well. After a year of use, it still looks brand new. What I carry in my bag are: wallet, ear buds, folded shopping bag, Oakley sunglasses (which are pretty big), reading glasses, distance glasses, kleenex, various small things like hand sanitizer, eye drops etc. With all these things in it, it is pretty full. However, it ain't 7 liters. 7 liters is like 20 cans of soda (liquid minus the cans) or 3.5 2-liter bottles. Yeah, nuh uh. I would say it is closer to 3 liters from a practical standpoint, 4 liters max. My old 2 liter bag held all of these but was stuffed pretty tight. This one has a little more room. And I'm okay with that because I wouldn't want to carry 7 liters of stuff in a sling bag. Pros: - Very comfortable to wear for long periods - The strap is soft to the touch and very flexible. Although it looks like webbing, it is soft like fabric - The magnetic clasp - oh the joy of the magnetic clasp. It is so easy to put on and take off, especially when you're wearing a hat. No more wiggling through the strap and knocking your hat or your sunglasses off. It takes 1 second to detach and 1 second to reattach. It also makes a great fidget toy. - The ingenious double zipper - makes it easy to open from either side, without having to search for the zipper tab - Very lightweight and squishes up to virtually nothing when packing in a suitcase - Fabric seems pretty durable - I've brushed against walls and dropped it on the ground. Still looks brand new Cons: - I have a small frame so the strap is too long by about at least 4-6 inches for me. So it hangs pretty loose. So when I lean forward, the bag slides from my back to my front. Wish the strap could go a little shorter. But I used a little strap hook and was able to shorten it and now it fits fine. - Pockets - Ironically the front small zippered pocket has 2 internal pockets (which you really can't use cuz the front pocket is so small), while the main, large compartment has only one small pocket unless you count that small pouch thingy at one end that I keep my earbuds in (but they often jump out of the pouch, the pesky buggers). It would be great if they put a soft-lined pocket for glasses or at least another general use pocket. Even better would be if they put another external pocket on the back (facing your body) where you could store your phone. - Front zippered pocket hard to open - because it is buried behind a flap of fabric, it is difficult to open and close, mostly because the zipper tab is often in the wrong position. To make it easier to find and pull, I attached a key chain to the zipper and it works better but still gets stuck. Is this worth the money? I'm kinda on the fence on this. I like most of the features and the quality and detailing are good. I would probably buy it again unless I'm dazzled by another bag.

Great for hiking, daily use or travel
I wanted a slightly smaller bag for vacation travel because I’ve learned a few lessons based on my travel style. When I go to new cities I love to check out museums, shopping districts, and any monuments, etc. This means I’m on subways or buses, walking outside a good deal, and might shop for a little. I’ve carried around a 17 liter plastic backpack that folds up small in my suitcase for a number of years but there are some limitations. When you go to a museum you have to wear it around your chest (so reverse) if they don’t have storage lockers which is uncomfortable and while it holds everything I might need, it’s often WAY too much space and under utilized. This is where a sling comes in handy. With the Bellroy sling I can wear it comfortably on my back (my preference) or my chest and it’s 7 liter size is that sweet spot of not too big, not too small. Yesterday I also used it hiking with my dog and it was the perfect hiking bag too for short adventures. I can get a small notebook, AirPods, phone, keys, hat, really thin jacket (and I mean really thin, this isn’t wide enough for any jacket that doesn’t folks up pouch like), sunglasses, etc. all in the bag without it feeling bulky or heavy. For my hike I used the key clip as a water bottle clip so I can carry a water bottle (with a loop around the lid) on the outside of the bag. It’s not the classiest looking set up, but it keeps me from worrying about water leaking in my bag. For what it’s worth, I got the “chalk” bag and though it looks whiter in the pictures, it’s really a light gray. Personally, I was hoping it would be more white but in all honesty, this is a better more neutral color. I got some mud on it while hiking when trying to get the mud off my dog’s paws and it wiped off easily with a wet paper towel.

The Ultimate Urban Companion for Minimalist Travelers
If you’re looking for a compact and efficient bag for urban exploration, the Bellroy Lite Sling could be just what you need. After using it on a two-week trip through Vancouver, I can confidently say it’s an excellent choice for anyone who values comfort, style, and functionality in their daily carry. Here’s a detailed review of my experience, emphasizing the pros, cons, and how it stands out in the market. One of the standout features of the Bellroy Lite Sling is its minimalist design. The sleek, modern aesthetics are paired with durable materials that hold up well over time, making it a versatile option for those who want both form and function. Despite its size, it can comfortably fit all your essentials like a wallet, sunglasses, portable charger, and even a compact camera. On a daily basis, I found the 7L capacity to be ample for carrying the basics without feeling bulky or overstuffed. However, if you’re looking to carry larger items like a water bottle or a bulky jacket, you may need a slightly bigger bag. The comfort level is another highlight. The adjustable strap allows for a personalized fit, and the padded back panel provides extra comfort when walking around the city for hours. During my trip in Vancouver, I appreciated how lightweight and easy it was to wear, whether I had it across my chest or back. The quick-release buckle also made it super convenient for removing the sling, especially when hopping on and off public transport or slipping into a café. The reflective bike-light loop added an extra touch of practicality when walking at night, ensuring visibility in low light conditions. However, like any product, there are a few drawbacks. One potential issue is the zippers, which open from both sides but don’t completely seal the compartment, making it vulnerable to rain. Fortunately, the light showers I encountered didn’t cause any issues, but heavier rain could be a concern if you’re caught unprepared. Additionally, while the main compartment offers great organization, it lacks a designated space for larger items like a water bottle, which can take up precious internal space. In conclusion, the Bellroy Lite Sling is an excellent choice for those seeking a minimalist, everyday carry bag. It strikes the perfect balance between style, comfort, and practicality. While there are a few limitations, like its size and the potential for rain exposure, it remains a top contender for anyone looking for a well-designed, easy-to-use sling bag for city travel. If you don’t want to deal with multiple accessories and enjoy the convenience of a single versatile bag, the Bellroy Lite Sling offers a simple yet effective solution.

Good cross chest bag for travel or EDC.
Bellroy products always well made and this no exception. A little large but works well as cross chest sling and an additional bag during travel for snacks or documents keeping it close.

Updated 5/23 after 1 month of use.
I'm so impressed with my purchase, I plan on purchasing another. I ordered the 'Copper' color, but I would call it more of a mustard yellow. It looks just like the stock photos in person. The construction is top notch. I love all the pockets and the double zippers are genius. The clasp is easy to take on and off and I like how the bag compacts itself if you don't have it filled, so it isn't bulky. This bag is so versatile! 1 Month update: I removed 2 stars because after getting stuck in a storm my bag got wet and when it dried, it looked like it was covered in grease stains. I washed it and they came out, but it's unsightly. I still really like the versatility of this bag, but I would definitely choose a different color if I could still return it.
