This thing is an absolute TANK!
My father has been on the hunt for a good electric grinder that not only makes consistent end product but can also handle the stickiest of sticky buds without getting gummed up and difficult to move. I’m very pleased to say this K5 grinder by Kactus Krusher checks off all those boxes and many many more! Function: The grinder uses a milling plate on top that grips the bud and forces it through a die plate that comes in various hole sizes for your preferred grind level. This method eliminates the need for interlocking teeth you see in a traditional grinder, which is the major fail point in those designs. The device flips open where the two plates meet with a latch and hinge, and this is where you load the product to be processed. The kit includes a brush to clean off the hole plate, and he used a small paper towel with a dot of rubbing alcohol to wipe down the upper mill plate and never had and build up. Electric Motor: Dealing with arthritis and mobility issues, gripping a grinder hard enough to power through today’s potent and dense buds has become quite the task for my father. This started the hunt for an electric grinders, but up until now they all fell short in the power market. If you didn’t pre-grind the buds, or put more then a 0.1 in the chamber, the motor would seize up and buzz. He tried one with the chain-ball blades but that just knocked the bud around the camber and left huge chunks when it was done. The K5 has an interesting milling setup that spins the motor and powers the upper milling plate, and you press down the plunger to engage the flower and force it through the lower die plates. THIS WAS HUGE!! Sure it did require some force, but the user just needs to push down with minimal weight and required no grip strength to get a consistent end product. We tried some 35% sticky almost tar consistency bud and it has no issues breaking it down on the medium size plate. The amount of force required to press down the plunger is negligible at best, and can often be done with one finger or your thumb if it’s very dense. Collection: After grinding the flower drops into the bottom collection bin that is magnetically attached to the upper portions. There is an LED that turns on when grinding is in motion you can see through the plastic, but it’s too dark to see anything inside and it’s really more of a gimmick. The added LED also means you have to pay attention when putting the collection tray back on since only two corners have magnets and the third is cut out for the LED. Finally following in suit to other grinders, there is a bottom compartment for the crystals to fall into which is cool to have - but in my experience I just scoop it up and top a bowl every not and then and wouldn’t be mad if it wasn’t there… I would just put the crystals in with each run rather then bank them over several to have a larger amount. Value: This grinder runs around $100 in most cases, and can be had on sale often. When you compare it to a $15 novelty store grinder it seems like a waste - but when you compare it to nicer electric grinders it’s actually on the lower side. Sure there are some electrics at half its price, but after wasting money on 4x different inferior electric grinders we found this is the only one he actually uses. I’ve seen other manual grinders with the similar milling method used, just without the electric motor, that run around $100+ right next to other high end/botique traditional teeth style manual grinders… so in comparison it’s not too bad at all. Over view: In the end having the advanced milling style grinder that was easy to clean, easy to use, and didn’t require grip strength all paired together to make this K5 grinder one of the nicest, most innovative, and easy to use design that made it well worth its cost - even without the discounts! If you are having issues with difficulty using grinders due to hand strength, or sick of dealing with gummed up parts and don’t move right, this grinder is right up your alley! Just note - it’s on the larger side and really intended for home use and not something you will toss in your pocket and go but if you know that then this grinder is an A+++ buy!

Simple to use and motor strength
Man, this battery powered cannabis grinder is strong. Most battery grinder motor’s aren’t strong enough, but this grinder is. Its body is heavy duty. What’s better, it’s easy — really easy to operate. Open the hinged lid and place your flower inside. Close the lid and push top button downward and listen to the motor’s strength. It literally take 10-15 seconds to complete the perfect grind. I used a small coffee bean grinder previously, but it was too fast and sometimes made a powdered residue. It was too fine. The new grinder is not cheap, but the grinder is a strong heavy duty body with an ultra strong motor. It’s worth the money for the perfect granular flower with the perfect grind size consistent. O powder residue. Try it — if you don’t like it return it.

Meh
Plenty of power, and using the fine screen and a light touch on the knob it can grate the buds, and just roll the little stem pieces So it works well, but has a few design flaws: The catch cup magnetically attaches, the third corner has a led to light the cup. The cup only fits back properly one way because of this. Not a big deal, but fix it. The kief screen is rediculously awkward to remove with a fumble, or potential breakage. The fidget spinner on top? Could it at least be a spare ring for the retainer? Maybe add a way to hold the extra 2 disks so they don't get lost. Dude, put the pipe down and fix this. I'mma give you 5 anyway, but put some stonergenuity into this

10/10
Best grinder ever! Not super heavy but you can tell it’s good quality! Runs super nice and smooth. It is on the big size but it was not problem for me. Does not clog either! Would buy again for a gift or just if I want another one.

Great grinder, well worth the money.
The grinder is fast, efficient, and does a terrific job of grinding. A real life-saver, if you have carpal tunnel syndrome, like me. It has a rechargeable battery, but after 3 months use, I still haven't needed to recharge it yet, since it seems to run forever on a charge. Tt's a 5 star item, but I took one star off for getting what seems to be a returned unit. I love the grinder, but have a couple of minor quibbles. The outside is smooth, powder-coated metal, and is a little hard to grip, especially for older hands. It would benefit from some gripping surfaces strategically placed around the body. Also, the unit I received from Amazon looked like it had been opened and repacked, like it was a returned unit. The Kactus Kutter site sells them for the same price, but I opted for buying from Amazon because of the faster delivery. After getting a repacked unit, I question that wisdom.

The ultimate herb grinder. Read more…
This is the absolutely best grinder. I have quite a few. 5 electrics and this one is king. Consistent grind each time. Easy to clean. Very strong. A charge lasts a long long time. This thing comes with 3 grind discs for different size grind. I like fine. It’s absolutely the best thing since… well… you know…

Chipotle and other hot peppers.
Grinder worked pretty good for hot peppers, providing consistent results. Needed to grind multiple times, starting with a different grinder to get them down to small pieces (about 1/4" long) and then going through each of the sieves to get to the smallest size. The slow speed and force pushing against the plates made a great powder without going too fast and spreading the hot peppers dust into the air (which if you ever made that mistake, you'll never do that again, even outside) Easy to clean up, and I like the distinctive color to remind myself that this grinder is only for hot peppers. (You only need to mix up your coffee grinders one time to know you need a dedicated grinder for hot peppers)

Okay - so I like writing reviews, but I am struggling to find the right way to express just how AMAZING this item is. I have NEVER had to clean it. It ALWAYS get's the job done. It is SO easy to use. It truly is exactly what I was looking for. As a frequent grinder, some might say chronic, I was always struggling with gummed up grinder teeth and so on. I put significant time into reading all the reviews, since I needed a tool that got the job done without issues. This item came highly recommended, and now I know why. The Kutter is amazing. This unit has a fixed plate (and you get to decide between small, medium or large holes) and an opposing rotating plate with offset teeth, a very unique design. It just tears through the product, producing a perfect pile of milled result, really quite impressive. It charges itself through a USB cable, but it seems to just keep going without needing a recharge? Seriously, I use it REGULARLY and have maybe left it on charge twice? This thing is amazing, I am really, really pleased with this item. It is the absolute right tool for the job.

I have been using this for a year and had to charge it once, but it takes a while. It has saved me hours of grinding, and it's great if you have hand and finger problems. It's never missed a beat and has been a lifesaver. Easy to clean, and the tray does well to catch heads, good enough to press into tiny bits of bonus hash.

What a find! This is an amazing grider. The components are great, easy to use, does not need to be cleaned all the time, grinds very well, and the battery lasts a long time.
