This is a great high speed floor-standing fan. It is not a quiet desk fan (too big, fast, and noisy)
This review is for "Amazon Basics Portable Desk Fan, 7 Inch Quiet Operation Cooling, 3 Speed Settings, 90° Variable Tilt, 15.49 x 27.3 x 27.69 cm, White."When I think of a 7 inch portable desk fan, I think of something that will take up about 7 inches of desk space, is lightweight and can be easily moveed around. This fan has a footprint of 11" by 6" weighs almost 2 kgs, is 11" tall and is not at all suitable for use on a desk. In operation it is very sturdy and stable (on the floor) and is powerful and moves alot of air. It is also noisy, even on the slowest setting, and for some reason the first speed that comes on when switching the fan on is 3-high speed, and you have to turn the switch further to get to lower speeds. I have no idea why it was designed this way.If I was reviewing this as a floor-standing high speed fan it would be five stars as it perform great at that task. However this is meant to be a quiet desk or table fan, and it really is not that kind of product at all. I hope the product listing gets updated so I can give this the five star rating it deserves. Right now I can only give it three stars at it is the wrong listing/product combination.The price at the time of review was around £15 which is great for a high speed floor fan.
