Sun Hats for Women Wide Brim UV Protection Sun Hat Summer Beach Packable Visor

This is a well-made hat with a nice big brim to keep the sun off the face. The colorful underneath part of the bill is cute, and I ordered the baby blue. Love the velcro adjustment in the back rather than a cloth tie. What I most like is the tie that goes from either side of the hat to under your chin to hold the hat on your head on windy days! The chin tie is adjustable and removeable. You just cannot beat that! Many times it is windy and the big bill can make the hat go flying off your head. I have never had a tie-down come with a hat, so I am very pleased. Also a good price, and folds flat for packing. One warning: the hat is wrapped in plastic BUT comes "hidden" in flat cardboard that looks like packing, and if you have other items in the box you may think you never got the hat. Be careful of that! Highly recommend.

Very happy with purchase. Yes, it has a wider brim than standard baseball cap - what I wanted for sun protection. Some think the wider brim looks dorky, but I'm ok with the tradeoff of great skin. The material has a sheen, like that of "windbreaker" jackets or a coat lining, and that's fine with me too; some reviewers find it "cheap" looking. Again, that's a matter of opinion and expectations; no, it's not cotton or denim-y, but I knew what to expect from reading other reviews. I think the hat is well designed with everything one needs: Velcro closure at back, ample space for either pony tail or, in my case, I pull out some hair and leave the rest down. (My hair is silver/gray with purple balayage ends, so the purple hat is perfect for me.) There's a little black elastic loop the end of the inner velcro closure which you can use to hang the hat on a hook, or for pony tail. Has removable gray adjustaable chin-strap, the color which blends with my hair. I tightened chin-strap beneath my hair at nape of neck (so you don't see it) instead of under chin. If I ride in my convertible, tho, it'll prob be more secure under my chin. I like that the band which rests against forehead is BLACK, so it won't show sweat and look grungy; it's also loose, like a flap, so you can "spot-wash" it if you want. The mesh lining on cap part is white; ideally it'd also be black, but not gonna hold it against them :-) I love the color palette of the flowery pattern on the inside brim. It's the palette shown when you click on Purple and see the product, NOT the palette the girl's wearing (the auto-color-change thing keeps it the same regardless of the outer cap color you view.) I enjoy seeing the flowers as I wear the cap. It's cheerful! I often wear this pretty rhinestone headband that I transfer to the cap when I wear it, and xfer back to my hair when cap's off. I think I have a really big head (approx 23", maybe more depending on where I measure. For this I measured same spot that this item sits) and this fits me...but barely. I have the velcro just barely attached together. I wish there was some built in stretch for added comfort and better fit- It leaves a line on my forehead for awhile after taking it off. Other than that, it is definitely a mega sized visor. Yes, bigger than a baseball cap visor. Think of it as a large brim hat in how that sticks out, and instead of it being all the way around, it is just front and sides (though less so on sides). You can sit in a high back chair, lay down, or sit in a car without it being knocked off like a large full hat would do. This is perfect for keeping out of the sun. It is kinda silly looking, yet also cute.. but who cares if you are looking to have greater protection. I typically use a regular slip on visor but was curious for a larger brim. This does a nice job shielding face from sun at front and sides. If the extra long brim is in the way, the material is flexible enough to where it can be turned up a little (see my pics). Again, silly.. but we're talking functionality here. I like the solid color with coordinating print under neath. The material is light, and it has a layer of mesh at top of head for air flow. The chin strap is optional- it has clips to attach it, or take it off. A tension pully allows you to tighten it against chin, or keep it loose. The velcro at back of head allows it to be adjusted. I personally could use more length. Velro bites at my hair as I take it off. There is a small elastic band in that area that I think it for keeping hat rolled up when tucked into a bag. Further, a sun hat is only good if you are actually wearing it when needed. So I love that the flexible material allows it to be rolled up tight and can be slipped into a purse without taking up barely any room. Some people carry umbrellas for when they need it, I would keep this on me in same way. I can wear it with hair down, or pulled back in a pony tail. I prefer look and feel of it with hair pulled back. I like it enough. I will give it more time to see if it holds up to sun and its ability to stay secure on my head.

Bought this to wear on safari. I can't wear baseball hates as I think I look awful in them and they smash my hair. Loved the extra wide brin as it kept the sub off my face. big downside though was the extra wide, big brim was not easy to keep on while in the open air jeep, it kept wanting to blow off, so not the best for that use, but great for walking around and keeping the sun ff your face and eyes.

Juste parfait pour protéger mon visage fragile du soleil. Facile à mettre et tiens bien en place. Je l'adore pour jardiner.

Like the under brim pattern. Great face coverage and like that hair can be pulled through hole at the back for overall comfort and convenience. Little bit tight on forehead and does leave a slight mark after a long wear

I appreciate the extremely wide rim. It shields the UV rays well from my face.

Pleasantly surprised. Very light. Exactly like photo. Nice wide rim for good sun protection coverage - even for side of face. Great if you have a high pony tail. Only small comment is that the Velcro at the back is not long enough to meet around my head - but easily fixed i just sewed on a piece of Velcro as an extension. I will buy more in different colours.
