This is my second purchase. The light is bright and will cover the whole room. If you don't need it brightness but just a little dim light it works perfect for that as well.The fan works as long as you have it pointed in the path you want it in. It doesn't cover the distance of a ceiling fan but it's quiet and will cool you down. The little remote is a very nice touch as well. Doesn't come with batteries FYI.One last thing, I had to get a replacement on my second one. The light portion worked perfectly but the fan would never turn on. It was replaced with no issue and I sent back the defective one.

I have had this for about eight months, and it is one of the best purchases I have made. Easy to install. I put this over my vanity in the bathroom. I love having access to the fan. After a while of use, make sure to use a hair dryer to blow away any dust that has collected on the top. Otherwise, the fan will get clogged and not work. Although the light comes with different settings, I have had mine on the same setting since the beginning because it's perfect for what I need. It adds a great light source that makes getting ready easier.

Was kind of surprised how well they move the air around and plenty of light too.. I bought 2 to put in the living room but they didn't look quite right, a little small but ended up in the kids room, perfect. 2nd one we used to cool the cats in the garage, after I used it as a work light with fan for construction I was doing.. great fan for the price.

Purchased to install in a recessed lighting can - while it fit great, there isn't enough airflow over the top of the fan to actually move air out - at all. Instead, I tried to use it with a tower light, for which the fan did work properly. However, the issue is that it needs constant power to retain its settings. When power is shut off, the unit loses all memory of the last setting, and reverts back to cool white/no fan when power is turned back on. If you are intending to only use the remote to turn on/off this (and not use a wall switch), and have enough clearance for the fan, think this would work great.The light portion is fantastic - very bright but can be dimmed easily. The fan is underwhelming but this was understood based on the small size.

Probably the best item I've ever bought on Amazon. Works great and very effective. Keeps my normally stuffy and dim craft room, cool and bright. Comes with an easy to use remote to adjust brightness and fan speed.
