I would discount a star for the weak diffusion effect, but considering the low price, it is hard to complain too much.The channels I received were perfectly straight. No defects found on either the channels nor the diffusers.I ended up fitting two strips in the channels. They are offset, so the gaps between the leds are effectively half as wide, but their angles are different, so the strips have a kind of odd dappled look.The clips fit perfectly, but I went with removable command adhesive strips.The diffusers went in super easy. Just hook one edge and then push against the diffuser enough for it to flex. Then just held it lined up while I slid my finger or thumb along the edge while gently pushing towards the side it was hooked in.I am using Govee strips. The brightness and led density is acceptable, but not what I envisioned.

The quality seemed good, they were straight and the covers fit in nicely. The mounts are nice and seemed secure and easy to attach. I had two concerns though. I wanted to hide the wiring so I drilled a hole on the back of the aluminum channel and ran 22 ga 4 wire ribbon through it. The wire barely fit and I would think that this size would be typical of LED wiring. Since the wiring came from behind the end cap won't fit on. There is a triangular piece that goes in to the channel the wiring is running through. I imagine I can modify it to make the cap work, but I haven't had a chance to do that yet. There is a hole in half of the end caps, presumably for the wiring to go through. I think the hole would have been a little small for the ribbon cable too, but would probably work if the ribbon was folded in half. Over all it seems to be a good product and I would recommend it to others.

No problems with the installation works great

The media could not be loaded.  Learned quickly that when installing, put one support about a 2 feet in and the next one at the very end so you can snap the current and next price into a single bracket. This will give you the most even and seemless appearance and requires minimal measurements and compensates for an uneven ceiling edge.Love these and am going to switch up my external lights to these channels next summer. Easy to install, great visibility, when installed correctly, you can just unroll the lights.

I've been using these for LED light strips I install in custom cabinetry and built-in units. These work great, they allow the LED adhesive to cleanly stick to the aluminum surface (so far without letting go). The diffusion covers are great to allow the light to spread a little more evenly too.The only downside I have for these are the installation clips. They are tiny little screws and are hard to deal with. Also, the clip protrudes down further than you would think making it potentially visible from the front of a unit if you don't recess that area deep enough. So on my most recent installation I decided to not use the little clips and instead I drilled directly through these brackets and screwed them to the wood that way. Worked great!

So, I bought this to diffuse an LED lighting project for my stepdaughter.The first problem reared it's head quickly. They give the most useless clips with tiny screws with it. For fun I attached one to the drywall- touching it caused it to fall out.Instead I had to drill holes into each channel (one at each end) and use screws to attach it.That's the only drawback to the install.

The aluminum channels will help boost the look you want.Some of the aluminum pieces came warped/bent which was a little disappointing. Fortunately, I was able to cut those pieces and use the better side for the odd/uneven lengths in the room. I was able to use an oscillating multi-tool to cut the pieces with no problem. Just make sure your aluminum channel is clamped down on a stable surface before cutting. The plastic covers were easy to cut with scissors (whenever I needed to). Just make sure to strip off the thin plastic wrap from the frosted cover before installing them.The plastic covers were unexpectedly frustrating to deal with. Once you finally get the ends clipped in, working your way down the length is a breeze. It’s very easy to snap into place once getting started.More mounting clips are definitely necessary for longer aluminum channels. Two per channel isn’t enough to keep them flush against the surface. You could also use strong adhesive like 3M tape to help secure it along the surface making the installation appear flush.This product recommends using SMD 2835 LED strips. I used SMD 5050 LED light strips which means the spots are more prominent. The LED chips on SMD 5050 lights are bigger, so they’re more spaced out but they’re also brighter. SMD 2835 LED strips are spaced closer together so the spots aren’t as prominent but they aren't as bright as their SMD 5050 counterpart. A more seamless effect will probably be achieved with SMD 2835 light strips.
