I got this for my husband to use in his hair. He really only uses if it in the front of his hair to hold little spikes up in his bangs. The first time he used it he complained it was really hard to get out and didn't spread easily. Once he left it in the bathroom it seemed to soften up... especially after I took a really hot shower (happy to help). He did rub it between his two fingers and that made the application easier. It did successfully hold his style all day. We both love the scent. I honestly can't put my finger on the scent but I would say it's more manly without being too strong.

Really like this stuff! A little goes a LONG way as well. Used a small pea-sized amount where I'd normally use a little more (think soybean size amount of gel/pomade). Got excellent results that way. It seemed weird at first because it's very...firm in the container. Scooping a piece out felt almost like grabbing a piece of dried out play dough. It then wasn't as quick to massage into my hands as a regular gel or pomade would be. However...totally worth the trouble. It smells excellent and is not greasy at all. The hold is great but hair is still soft. None of the crunch you'd experience with a similar strength/hold gel. Between the lack of greasy pomade and the crunch-free hair (as well as smelling good), this stuff is a winner for sure. My only knock is that its "value for money." At time of purchase this was listed at around $20 and a comparable container at the grocery store would be maybe $5-10. I don't know if it's twice-as-nice, but it's definitely better. Final thought: it also washed off my hands very easily. One of my biggest complaints about other hair products is pretty much eliminated with this product. Give it a shot... you won't be disappointed.

My hair: Medium long, thick, course, wavy, brown I think my hair may be too thick and heavy for this product. Just not enough hold, even when being very liberal with it. I love that limonene scent--very clean, fresh, and energetic. The matte texture is good though so I think this could be a great product for someone with finer, thinner hair than fine. The paste itself is an interesting texture--dense but lightweight with an almost latex-y springiness to it. Incorporates easily and evenly into damp hair. I wish I could get away with using it because I much prefer the feel and smell of this product to the hair clay I use--it just doesn't have the hold.

If you try to use this right out of the container, you probably will not be happy with the results. You really need to take a tiny amount, and I mean much less than you think you need. With that you have to rub it between your hands and let it warm up on your hands before you put it on your hair. If you use it this way, you will be good to go. Although, I do wish it was truly unscented. There is a slight scent to it that I’m not crazy about, but it does not seem to linger, and it is very slight.

This is a hair pomade, a white paste texture that is fragrance free and dye free. Just a little warmed up and rubbed into the palms and work its magic. Using on a short cut, just to style it a bit and make it less bed hair. So a very low maintenance hair style. Working well! Priced $34.50 at time of order and review. Note, a little goes a long way. I didn't mind that this is very firm and clay-like in the container and needed some friction/rubbing to warm and soften it up. I do mind the odor. It's a strong, almost camphor-like odor, but less pleasant than camphor. I can't deal with smelling that all day.
