The vanillin added to the fish oil smells nice and prevents any oily taste from the supplement. These are big boys, so if you have trouble swallowing you may want to find a different choice. However if you can tolerate swallowing large soft gelatin capsules, this is a great fish oil supplement. I think that they work as effectively as any other brand I've used. I really like Swisse's products but they are more expensive than other brands. I do think the quality is worth it but if you're taking multiple supplements or are trying to manage a tight budget, there's are other reputable products that perform about the same.

I've been taking fish oil for several years now. A few months after starting, I began to notice improvement in my short-term memory. I need all the help I can get in the memory department, so I've kept taking it ever since. I wasn't previously familiar with the Swisse brand, but they are actually a massive, well-respected company that has been around for over 50 years. I had been taking a different brand of sustainably sourced wild fish oil which I had found to be the most reasonably priced of the well-established quality-focused brands (I do not consume mainstream drug/grocery store brand supplements.) However, these Swisse fish oil capsules are impressively more cost-effective than my previous brand. I have experienced no issues with these and will continue to purchase them.

This is a high value added product--thick packaging, premium ingredients, modern labelling, etc. So my first impression is that thought went into the product. On the other hand, I did not give enough though as I opened the package and expected to find a double seal. Only the lid is sealed, no plastic film beneath it. So I ended up spilling them all over the floor....my bad. They add vanilla to the capsule, which adds a very slight hint of sweetness that actually helps a lot when swallowing it. It is very faint, but it's there. I'm not sure if this is supposed to also help with odor, but I had zero issues whatsoever. It's great as a daily supplement. According to the label, for many folks with will be more than a year's supply of a high quality product. Looks like we have all been sleeping on the Swiss navy! :) They've been fishing all this time.

Don't let the price fool you. You get 400 awesome softgels in this bottle and the dosage is just one softgel. That means this bottle is going to last you over a year! In addition, the softgels are nice. They are large but typical for a fish oil supplement. I've seen some larger. They don't have an awful smell!! This is the only fish oil supplement I have found that doesn't have a fishy smell. Most others smell very fishy and/or have some other scent like lemon trying to mask the smell which only ends up in the softgel smelling like lemony fish. Yuck. Each softgel has 1,000 mg of wild fish oil and that is the right amount. I highly recommend this supplement.

I bought these because they claim to be odorless but I started burping up fish odors within 20 minutes of taking them.

I like this large container of odorless wild fish oil capsules. Initially, I went back and forth on whether "wild" was still a good term, knowing our oceans are not as pristine as they once were. I took the chance because of the term odorless, and am happy to report I have experienced no adverse effects after taking them for a couple of weeks. They are truly odorless; arrived with an outer seal but no beneath-the-cap seal. I have not experienced the fishy after-burp I often get from traditional fish oil supplements. The soft gels go down easy and there are plenty, so the value is high. 1000mg is a good dose. Good product; excellent value!
