I love this mat! I have a husky that isn't fond of getting brushed. This mat keeps her busy and still for at least 20 minutes with only about 2 teaspoons of Buddy Butter. Very helpful! It's great that it's dishwasher safe, too.

The suction on these kick mats is awesome! My dog spent a solid ten minutes licking peanut butter off the mat and couldn’t chew/bite/claw it free from the kitchen floor. The suction bottom is fantastic. And how could I not be thrilled - it’s dishwasher safe!

I have a hyper, very smart puppy. This is one of her favorite things. Keeps her busy for a few minutes.

This item seems to be aimed more at dogs (licking peanut butter from the textured surface), but we don't have one so had to try it with our cat. I dripped some water on the suction cups before attaching them to the tile on our kitchen floor. The adhesion was fine. We sprinkled catnip on the mat and he enjoyed licking it off.I was a little concerned about the plastic off-gas smell, but it dissipated quickly; good to know it's BPA-free. All in all it kept our cat focused for several minutes but I'm not sure if it would've kept him enraptured enough to let us clip his nails or anything.

Easy to clean and the different patterns make it more fun for the dog I think! Good quality and flexible.

Keeps her busy so I can get work done

I recently got the Gorilla Grip Dog Lick Mat, and my dog and I couldn’t be more pleased! The very first thing I noticed was the quality, which is absolutely excellent! The mat is thick and feels so much more durable compared to other mats that we have tried and were always on the flimsy side. I will say, the biggest feature that makes this mat a winner, are the suction cups. I cannot deny that the grip is strong, a lot stronger than I expected! If you are preparing the mat in the kitchen, I would strongly recommend placing a paper towel underneath the mat because it could get messy once you’re done and start pulling it off the table or counter to give to your pet.I have to be honest, I really like the spatula that was included with the package. It’s small but was super convenient when I was getting peanut butter out of the jar and smearing it on the mat. Knowing my dog, I had to freeze the peanut butter, otherwise he would have finished it in half the time. I had no trouble freezing the mat and when I took it out, it still did not lose its strong grip. I placed the mat on the floor since wood or tile is the best surface and it didn’t move a single millimeter the entire time my dog was enjoying the peanut butter spread. Of course this is not something that will keep you pet occupied for an hour but for us it was more than enough time to give my dog a good brush. Overall it lasted him about 20 minutes. I would also put into consideration that my dog is on the larger side so maybe for a smaller dog it would last much longer.Overall, this lick mat is a MUST for any and all pet parents out there. Highly recommend to give it a try!

There are times when a lick mat is very handy to have around. In my case, I have a dog who has to have monthly injections and also has some vet appointments that take some time, like acupuncture treatments. Having a lick mat on hand is great for keeping the dog occupied while staying in one spot.In the past, for injections I had been smearing peanut butter on a tile wall for the dog to lick off. This is much handier because the crevices allow more working time to get the treat, and then I can peel it off the wall and toss it in the dishwasher, where it comes out perfectly clean and ready for the next use.Some folks weren't a fan of the suction cups, but I like them because this can be used on a vertical surface, or if used on flooring it will stay put. The suction cups are very effective without being overly aggressive -- I am surprised the surfaces it will stick to! Even a little bit of texture on the surface does not keep these suction cups from grabbing. Also, fun to play with, hah. The mat has just the right amount of "stick", in my opinion.The front surface has a variety of textures to choose from, which seems unnecessary although I might find that different textures work better for different treats. They all seem to work equally well at containing food.A small spatula is included, which is handy. The silicone blade is a bit soft. A stiff peanut butter might benefit from a stronger spatula. But it does work just fine.I love the color, the size, and the fun patterns -- and it works very well for my purposes. Recommended.
