Is this a trend? Peter England after shave was a gel too and yet the bottle stated balm. I must look up the dictionary.The fitkari based after shave gel by Moraze men (Frogg International) is not bad at all. The skin feels healed and taut and there is no burning at all. There is no post shave moisturization either. The gel gets absorbed super quickly and I find it excellent for my (oily/ acne prone) skin. There is some menthol but way too subtle and it does not overpower. The scent note to my nose is a soft (and again) subtle aquatic, a touch of pleasant seaweed.
