The active ingredient Hexylresorcinol, an oral pain reliever, provides powerful sore throat relief without menthol. Each medicated drop has less than 10 calories and 2.5g of sugar (no artificial sweeteners here!). Adults and children 12 years of age and over: take 2 lozenges (one immediately after the other) and allow each lozenge to dissolve slowly in the mouth; may be repeated every 2 hours as needed. Review: Only cough drop I can tolerate - Cannot say enough about how much I hate having to use cough drops- unless it’s ludens cherry, and let’s face it they taste yummy but do nothing for a cough or sore throat. These mucinex cough drops actually work, and I can keep it in my mouth without gagging on the taste or dying from the menthol. On top of h th at there’s the numbing action- 2 thumbs up. Good job mucinex.
