Players draft and place terrain tiles on their personal boards to create habitats and attract animals, scoring points based on how well they match their animal cards. It supports 1 to 4 players, with a satisfying solo mode and an “expert” mode that adds nature spirit cards for extra depth. The game plays in around 30–45 minutes, making it a great choice for a relaxed evening or a quick gaming session. The physical components are excellent. Terrain tokens are made of wood, animal cubes feel substantial, and the artwork by Maëva Da Silva gives the game a dreamy, peaceful vibe. The game strikes a good balance between ease of learning and meaningful decisions, newcomers can pick it up quickly, while more experienced players will appreciate the tactical options around tile placement and card selection. That said, the scoring mechanism can feel a little complex at first, and because space on the board is limited, you really need to plan ahead, which may lead to decision paralysis for some players. Also, in solo play the “market” of tiles and animal cards can stagnate, making the game feel a bit repetitive over time. But for the money it is a great investment. Overall, Harmonies is a lovely mix of calm theme and tactical depth. I recommend it for players who enjoy thoughtful, peaceful games where building your own little world matters almost as much as winning.

Great game had a lot of fun playing. The artwork of the game is amazing and like the fact that you can play as a group or on your own. One you have had one play through the rules become easy to remember. Definitely a game to recommend if you like strategy games. The games can vary in time depending on how the player plays it.

What an absolutely beautiful game, components are gorgeous and the gameplay is brilliant. The rulebooks was easy to read and very clear. Quite possibly our new go to game.

Harmonies is a great family game and perfect for screen-free time. Easy to learn, relaxing to play, and enjoyable for everyone.

Genuinely delighted with this game Very easy to learn and fun every time. I like the 2 ways to play adding another element to the game. As a 2 player game it can be as quick as 20 minutes. But we just had a very technical 3 player game that lasted an hour and a half.

Bought as a Christmas for the whole family, 3 kids, 12, 11 and 5 years old, we all love it. Quite a nice upgrade from Azul we bought last year!

Harmonies was just what I expected, and some more. It has a simple strategy to both learn and teach, but it does challenge your game plan. Players choose cards, each with patterns to recreate (the habitats of the animals) in their individual board. Points are given for both forming the habitat patterns and by creating certain sequences of the colored tiles. It truly is a beautiful game. The illustrations are engaging, the quality of the materials is fantastic (even the box!) and the replayability is great. I have tried it with two players and in the solo mode and I am more than satisfied with it, I highly, highly recommend it. No doubt that it will become a well-loved and played game in our household; out of the 50ish games we have, I can see myself gravitating towards it quite often. If you enjoy simple games like Azul but want an added challenge in terms of strategy, you might want to consider Harmonies. I gather that it shares a lot in commom with Cascadia, (althogh I have not personally played it!), so if that is your jam, you might enjoy this one as well!
