Night And Day
I've been making cables for my computers for 25+ years, and it has always been hit and miss for me. It's been more miss than hit for the last few years (reduced eyesight due to aging, I suppose). Most of my cables nowadays fail at the crimping stage, as I can't be completely sure if the eight wires are positioned correctly in the end connector. This is very frustrating. I bought this crimper (and a separate pack of passthrough end connectors) to compensate, and I'm glad I did! I made my first test cable to get used to the connectors and crimper, and it was terrible (I was expecting that). I made my second test cable, and it passed the quality test, so I moved on to one of my prior cables I failed on multiple times with my prior, non-passthrough connectors. The passthrough was night vs. day. The first time I pushed the eight wires though the connector, I found that the first two wires had crossed. I pulled the eight wires out, corrected the positioning, pushed them back through, and all eight were in the correct sequence. I didn't have to start the end from scratch like I would have with my non-passthrough connectors! I used scissors to cut off most (but not all) of the excess wiring so they would fit into the crimper, then crimped the connectors. The crimper cut the wires off at end of the connectors, both ends were successful on the first try, and my network registered the computer as gigabit. Speedtest.net transferred at 940 mb/s. Also, the cable sheathing now goes far beyond the crimp point in the connector, whereas it was a crapshoot with the non-passthrough connectors whether the sheathing would even make it to the crimp point. I no longer dread having to make network cables.

Solid RJ45 Crimper!
As a tech enthusiast diving into network setups, the RJ45 Crimping Tool for RJ11/RJ12 and RJ45 Pass Through Connectors has been a fantastic addition to my toolkit, earning a strong 4.5 stars. This yellow crimper feels sturdy and well-built, with a comfortable grip that makes repetitive tasks a breeze. It handles RJ45 pass-through connectors and RJ11/RJ12 standards flawlessly, delivering clean, reliable crimps every time. The built-in cutter and stripper are precise, saving me from juggling extra tools, and the compact design is perfect for tossing in a bag for on-site jobs. My only gripe is the lock mechanism—it tends to engage unexpectedly mid-use, which is a bit annoying and slows down the workflow. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it disrupts the otherwise seamless experience. Aside from that, this crimper is a high-quality, versatile tool that’s ideal for DIYers or pros setting up Ethernet or phone lines. For the price, it’s a great value, and I’d recommend it to anyone needing a reliable crimping tool, lock quirk notwithstanding!

Buy these!
I bought these to see if they did as well as name-brand crimpers I used to have. They are about 95% as nice as my name brand crimpers, for less than half of the price. I have no desire to replace this crimper with the name brand, to be honest. While I haven't found a 'perfect' crimper yet, these work very well. I have had ZERO failed crimps with this tool--The depth of the crimp is appropriate. It doesn't seem to over crimp, nor under crimp. The blade cuts reliably. I will say that stripping with these isn't great--They cut a little deeper than I like, just like the name-brand crimpers did. My favorite stripper tool is still the little one-piece plastic thingy that comes for free with all kinds of stuff. I have used this crimper with both 'name brand' RJ45 plugs from the big box store as well as 'no name' plugs from Amazon. I can't tell the difference. All in all, if you're on the fence as to these vs name-brand, pick these up. They're probably off of the same production line, anyway.

Much better than using non pass through connectors.
The ability to ensure that the wires are correctly routed through the connector makes this tool the tool to use.

Decent value crimpers
OK, and get the job done. The alignment of the blade is not perfect, and at times, have to work to get the cut wires off. Not as good as my Kline, but cheaper. I think it's a good value.

Good quality
I use it to clamp pass-through connectors, and it works perfectly.

Crimps' Ahoy!
Still have my original CAT 3/5+ crimp kit from the 90s. Reason for upgrading was to take advantage of the new pass-through connectors, what an upgrade! After running thousands of feet of CAT5 during the internet expansion days, the new connectors and crimper are a very welcomed upgrade. The crimper itself is heavy-duty'ish and works as advertised. Saved a bunch of time already crimping ends on a few non- cooperating wires. If there was one recommendation to give to manufacturers it would be to add a storage compartment for the extra blade(s) in the handle. I can see it getting lost over the years if not with the unit.

Stabil, leider ohne Anleitung
Gute Verarbeitung, stabil

Great quality with great solid crimps
Wow, I was not expecting such good quality for such a good price. As a general guide I do around 50 connections per day with zero failures. I immediately ordered 2 more as spares

Absolut unbrauchbar!
Wewr eine Zange zum Abnagen der Drähte sucht, ist mit dieser gut bedient - abgesehen davon, dass nur 2 der 8 Kontakte gecrimpt wurden und das gleichmal als Kurzschluss......
