For some snacks, like chips, grease soaks into the paper, and I wouldn't use it to store dry snacks for many days if it is being opened and closed because there isn't a seal to keep those items from going stale. **Q: Where are these made?** A: As of 2022, our final product is assembled and packaged in North Carolina, USA. The materials used to produce Lunchskins bags is sourced in Hong Kong. B-Corp certification requires that ALL our that our partners meet rigorous standards for quality, safety, fair labor, ethical business practices, and environmental responsibility. We are actively searching for a North American / European partner to source our sustainable materials going forward but have found them difficult to procure given supply limitations and access to specific testing requirements. The US/North America does not currently produce the materials and testing that we require for our brand (no greenwashing here!). Our BPI-Certification was also awarded outside of the US due to the fact there are no current BPI testing facilities domestically.
