Q: Does it matter if 70% or 91% alcohol is used?

Generally 70% alcohol is best. The 91% or 99% can give a bit hotter flame, but it also evaporated much quicker. I have always used the 70% mix. Cheers, Tony.

Q: Replaceable wicks? I can't seem to find the correct size.

The thickened is referring to the glass. It has thicker glass on the bottom, which makes it unlikely to tip over. I recommend 95% denatured ethanol, which is widely available
