Marcato Design Atlas Flour Duster Dispenser Shaker, Made In Italy, Red, 5 x 2.5-Inches

I purchased this Marcato Dispenser to accompany my red Marcato Atlas 150 pasta machine. The quality of this dispenser is outstanding. It's remarkably heavy and well built. Its a pleasure to use a Dispenser that has a top that securely and easily screws on and off, and doesn't become cross-threaded and stuck like the cheap dispensers. It dispenses flour easily when making pasta, and is a lot less messy than using a flour sifter. I also use this Dispenser to garnish breakfast entrees with Confectioner's Sugar, so my Brioche Strawberry French Toast looks artfully prepared and appetizing. I want to buy another one to use with cocoa powder. I absolutely love it, and worth every penny!

The shaker works great when dusting a workspace with flour so I do not end up with an uneven distribution. It is aluminum construction for the body and stainless steel for the screen. It seems silly that California put a Prop65 warning on it for nickel when it is between 0-10% of the composition of stainless steel with iron(50-72%), chromium(16-30%), and less than 5% carbon, molybdenum, manganese, and nitrogen. More importantly, if you have a nickel allergy, you would be better to choose the “economy” 18/0 stainless which has zero nickel but is duller and has a higher chance of rusting.

It has a nice feel ...sturdy...solid. Looks very attractive...nice enough to set out all the time. Worked best with 00 flour...it’s a thinner more powdery consistency. I recommend it. Nice gift item.

Does a great job of spreading flour in an even, desirable amount. Price is too high. Also, nice for sprinkling other things, such as cinnamon and powdered sugar. Very well built.

This dispenser works great at dispensing flour when making dough. It is easy to clean and it looks great. Makes it very convenient and fast to spread flour.

I think the question you have to ask yourself when you shell out this kind of money for this kind of utensil is whether this thing will last a lifetime and more. I don't see how it couldn't. It's a little perfectly shaped tank! Now, average the daily cost of a tool that could last generations versus the price and you'll see it's definitely worth it. Fits in the hand great, easy to clean, sturdy as possible.

Fits the hand perfectly and you don't get your finger stuck in the handle. Allows for a quick grab and splash of flour when you need it. Pricy but well worth it, if it ever disappears I'll buy another in a heartbeat.

It is a very simple device and very well made, so it works as expected. Marcato is a brand of quality.

Easy to load and empty (flour and sugar) after use. Cleaning is straightforward. Very pricy but looks the part on the shelf.
