Sturdy, excellent quality magnetic phone mount.
I was very impressed with this phone mount for my car. Fairly small profile and gripped the dash of my car very securely. Easy to mount the magnetic ring on my iPhone case with the template enclosed. Easy and stable adjustment to move the phone any direction. I am in my car at least 8 hours a day and after using a cradle device for years, taking the phone on and off the magnet and putting it upright or sideways is a breeze! Great product and great price.

Works with my Pixel 9 Pro XL and an iPhone 14
I was skeptical about this item because my phone is fairly hefty and other reviews have claimed that the mount would not support the Pixel 9 Pro XL. Apparently it does! My phone weighs 10.0 ounces, including a dBrand case and the large magnetic plate that comes with this mount. You can see it pictured in the 2nd and 3rd pictures accompanying this review. We drove about three hours from our home near Detroit to just north of Dayton, OH a couple days ago, and it stayed put on the mount, all the way there and all the way back.Maybe the trick is to place the magnetic plate near the center of the back of the phone. I initially tried placing it near the bottom, which made the whole thing top-heavy and it flopped around and fell off. But the middle works great. The only disadvantage there is that the phone partially obscures the infotainment screen, which you can see in the 4th picture (which is actually a picture of my wife's iPhone 14 - more on that in a moment). That's the bad news - but the good news is that when the phone is not on the mount, there is no obstruction of the video screen - unlike another mount I've used recently, that clamps to the sides of the phone rather than using magnetism. The 1st picture shows the mount attached to the air vent above the screen, with no obstruction with no phone present. The mount comes with two magnetic plates. One is large and the other is smaller. The directions for the smaller one make no sense to me - it is to be placed outside of the phone or case, and somehow is connected to a clear plastic film. I couldn't figure that out, but decided (after getting some customer service feedback from iOttie) that I would just attached the small plate to the back of my wife's iPhone, inside the case, near the middle. As you can see in the pictures (4th and 5th), it attached successfully to the mount. The pictures were taken of the dashboard of our 2017 Prius, by the way.

Works Fairly Well with Plate Attached to OUTSIDE of Phone Case
I ordered mine used, like new. It was missing the sticker and larger plate but did have the smaller plate. That one didn't work so well when placing it inside my phone case. However, I decided to do as the instructions say and attach it to the outside of my phone case. It holds fairly well and hasn't ever fallen off in the couple months I've been using it. It has tilted over a bit so that the phone isn't 100% upright but that's not too bad and doesn't happen that often. Please do note that the location of your CD slot may affect how well your phone works. Mine kept going into dark mode and I couldn't understand until I once saw a note pop up that it was entering dark mode because the phone was overheating. My CD slot is at the top of the dash, which is great for viewing the GPS without taking my eyes off the road. But then the phone is in the sun, hence the overheating. Most cars that still have a CD slot have it placed lower so it likely won't be an issue for you.So glad I found this because suction types weren't working and after two years I got tired of the A/C mounted type because not only did it partially block the vent but also blocked some controls. Now, this type is solidly mounted and doesn't block anything. Gotta find the solution that works for you!

Bought for use in S2000
I bought this specifically to use in the S2000, as that car has a low and extremely minimalist dashboard. Because of that, it has very slim HVAC outlets, meaning that using one of the regular non-adjusting air vent phone mount is out of the question. The iTap 2, however, works very well for this car for a couple of specific reasons, and I ended up using it on the right side air vent.-The locking tab mount is very thin, and this minimizes the amount of vent real estate being used. The S2000 has a very fat center adjust tab for up/down vent use, and this mount retains complete freedom of motion of the air vent-The telescoping and rotating head moves the phone off the air vent, and allows you to position the phone precisely as you want it. My phone is pretty big- it's a Oneplus 5T, and when I have it in a vertical orientation it would otherwise hit and obscure some of the upper AC controls on the S2000. The phone mount doesn't totally solve that issue, but it does keep the phone itself off those buttons and dials so they can still be used by feel. At the same time, being able to rotate the head means I can adjust my phone for minimal glare in the sun (since the S2000 is a convertible, after all). The iTap's magnets actually are pretty strong. I have a Koomus CD player holder in my Civic Si, which used to be the strongest holder that I have, but I think the iTap might actually be stronger. They are also far and away much stronger than the normal non-adjustable AC vent holders.Despite its high price, I do recommend this product- but only if you absolutely require the slim profile and telescoping and rotating features of this phone holder. It does its job very well and is a high quality unit, but non-adjustable AC vent holders are literally a dime a dozen these days. If you don't need the features of the iTap, I'd look into one of those first.
