So, I'm terrible at looking at measurements and am often prone to impulse shopping. In this particular incidence I am pleasantly surprised. At first I was saying to myself "why did you order yet another tool for stretching?" I was envisioning this being bigger than it really is. When it arrived and I realized that small size, and once I get over the surprise I realized this is even better yet. It is the perfect size to massage my foot and my arch. It won't take up a lot of space and it does the job perfectly. My physician had told me to use a water bottle that was frozen. And yes the cold part is a benefit but the bottle is always hard as a rock and then it rolls all over the place, and then it sweats all over my floor after I lose interest 5 minutes later. This has just enough grip that doesn't go flying across the floor, it's just the right size, and it doesn't take up a ton of space in my prop basket next to the tv. The instructions in the package are super tiny so you'll need your magnifying glass if your vision is like mine. most of the exercises on there are ones I probably won't do, or even understand for that matter. I had it a couple days before I realized the little white ball on the end actually rotates (ah the rollerball!) and so you can use it to massage other areas besides the foot. But I will probably mostly use this for my foot and I think it's excellent for that. Others may find other uses for it. I highly recommend this for foot massaging, especially your arch.

This massage roller by JOINFIT is a total game changer! I really wish I had ordered this before our trip to the Florida parks where we were constantly on our feet! It would have been really easy to pack since it is compact. I suffer from planter fasciitis and rolling this on your arch is like heaven. Beats getting a foot massage from the hubby cuz I can exert my own pressure easily and quickly. So much better than the ball shaped massages I already own. The flattened spherical shaped roll of this massager makes it possible to massage both my arches at the same time and the silicone textured sides give it an added soothing sensation. The tips are also very useful, with one end a stationary tipped ball and the other end has a rotating ball and both ends have beneficial uses. It replaces your thumb when massaging and makes it so you can have longer massages. When I give my hubby a massage, my thumbs end up aching very fast. Using this tool really helps with longevity. It comes with a manual but even if the text is all Chinese, the photos make it useful. This tool is worth every penny!

Often when you something this shape with massage in the description you might assume vibration and/or heat. This is a totally manual massage device with a roller ball on one end. The more pointed end is great for pinpointing those troublesome knots. The textured body is great for rolling over various body parts.

My June 2024 order of ‘JOINFIT Store Olivary Muscle Massage Ball (Pastel Green)’ arrived in a JOINFIT box containing the massage ball and a small pamphlet. Both the box and pamphlet are mostly in Chinese, but the pamphlet does include eight pages with photos demonstrating various massage uses. Via Google Translate I see that the ball is made from “silicone+ABS+resin” and originates from “Jiangsu China”. By my measurement, the massage ball is 5 inches long and 2 1/8 inches wide at the middle (tapering to smaller ends of course). The massage ball has a bumpy texture for most of its length. One end has a 5/8 inch rolling hard plastic ball while the other end has a slightly yielding sharper silicone point. The silicone seems to have a faint chemical odor, but it is unnoticeable unless you hold it right under your nose. Of all the suggested uses, I find the massage ball most helpful to me as an under-the-foot rolling massage. A few minor issues: the rolling ball squeaks depending on pressure, and you need to be careful washing the massager to not get water underneath the rolling ball.

This clever little massage tool is an improvement over typical massage balls. The shape is well balanced and gives me better control. When I'm working my piriformis for instance, this doesn't roll out of position but stays where I want it., I can also lean towards one end or the other to dig in even more. The indentations are not super deep but they do help get a deeper massage. One end is pointed for trigger-point massage; the other has a small roller ball. The roller ball is a nice addition. While it works fine as it is, I think a metal ball would roll even better. Just a suggestion. This has so many uses. It's wonderful on the feet I've been experimenting with it and love it's versatility. The instruction pamphlet; that came with it are not in English but it has plenty of photos , so it's easy to figure out.

Recently I have been having a lot of foot pain (possibly related to Achille's tendonitis, which I know I have). This little gadget feels really good rolling under my feet. And the pressure point end works quite well on shoulders. All written instructions are in Mandarin, but they are illustrated, so it's easy to figure out how to use.

Good size and light weight. Can be rolled or use the ends for trigger point relief. One end is stiff while the other has a small roller ball that glides well. Not a bad price at $17 but really should be less than $15.
