The toe box is large enough to provide wiggle room and the ankle supports are solid. Great hiking boot for the cost. Review: So comfortable and do what they are meant to do. - I have had these shoes now for about a month and 1/2 and wear them every day and I just had to write a review. I have needed a good waterproof, comfortable shoe to wear every day while I do chores on my farm. I had been wearing barn shoes and although they are comfortable, they tend to get a little stiff feeling by the end of the day making my feet feel tired. So I began looking for a more comfortable shoe that would hold up to daily wear and tear. I ordered the 6 and 1/2 to give my toes a little more room and they fit perfectly. And so very comfortable!! So much so that by the end of the day, I don't want to take them off! They are water proof, at least for the filling and cleaning of water troughs. I haven't worn them in standing water so cannot vouch for how they would do in that scenario. I can walk over rocky terrain as these provide good traction and I don't feel the rocks through the soles so much, which is a plus. I wear them to do errands as well. I cannot tell you how warm they would be in cold weather as I have not had them that long, but I can tell you that my feet have not felt too hot in this warmer weather so they must have decent ventilation. They are really cute and did I mention they were comfortable? If you are on the fence about buying these shoes, I say, do it, as you will not be disappointed.
