Okuma Cedros E-Glass Jigging Rods

For the money it's a great heavy jigging rod. I mostly bottom fish with it using 8oz sinks and it does great has back bone to get big fish off the bottom. Done fast jigging for Amber Jack and the rod also has good action for that as well. Good rod guides, reel seat and blank. Over all very good looking an performing rod for a cheaper price than Shimano

For what i do i couldnt dream up a better rod at 6'6 still great sensativity alot of backbone well designed eyes and easily the best handle design ive ever felt. At only 6'6 i can cast in tighter spaces without worry of hitting branches. My complaint is the shipping considering the rod is 100+ dollars you would exspect it to come shipped protected it wasnt just cardboard and plastic around the the rod im still giving it 5 stars because im basing my review off the rod solely but the shipping is bad and the rod could easily get damaged ive bought rods that are 30 dollars cheaper that come better shipped i think the rod is easily worth the money but the shipping could use improvement.

Love this rod. It is quite strong and well made. The action is great - very sensitive. Used for speed jigging in the Keys and this rod worked like a charm. The price point is hard to beat!

This is not what i anticipated on getting. I thought Okuma has a good reputation? Perhaps trying Okuma was a mistake?A new cedros jigging rod in MH came in today with huge disappointment. I have always been either Penn or Shimano guy. Recently a buddy of mine has been telling me how good Okuma was and etc so I decided to try it out by ordering 2 Cedros jigging rods in MH and H spinnings, 1 Hawaiian Customs jigging 250gr, 2 new Cedros 14000 spinning reels, and 1 Makaira spinning reel.What you see in the pic is the MH cedros 7' spinning rod that literally arrived today with a crooked tip section right out of the box. Worse when actually seen in person. I know its a 120 dollar rod but seriously, is this really the quality that Okuma takes a pride in? Now Im very skeptical with rest of the products I ordered. If the company isnt willing to maintain quality control on rods that are suppose to be one of the most popular models, how am I suppose to trust other products 🤔?

This jig stick is a little heavier than the others due to being e-glass. It has a lot of backbone Whereas the other jig sticks tend to be flimsy. It also comes with a metal reel seat which is a plus. This rod would last a very long time if one doesn't try to defeat a car door with it.

This is my second one of this model. The rod is great for jigging, but I usually use it for dead bait bottom fishing. It is small and light, but I've pulled up some huge fish with this. They are well built and have components that only come on rods 2x the cost.
