Frequent Traveller, this suitcase is HUGE
I travel often for work and fun. Often times I drive when I travel and to be fair I have not taken this suitcase through an airport YET, however I will and update my review accordingly. Edit: I have used this now for at least 5 domestic and 1 international trip and although it’s a little scuffed up, it still look very new and lightly used. I also can fit so much stuff in it and it fits the bag requirements for the airlines I travel. This suitcase packs a lot of items for being so lightweight and unassuming. I am able to put everything I need into this suitcase and still have room for more! Although I am an experienced packer, I still pack a lot, including my heavy steel toed boots. This suitcase is also very durable and sleek. I like that the wheels glide over many different surfaces with ease, and is not likely to tip over due to how sturdy it is! I find that there are a lot of different types of Samsonite luggage, and I found that this particular line got a lot of marks for durability. I also appreciate the affordability for my price range. I do believe you get what you pay for and I know that luggage can get destroyed by airlines, so I wanted to opt for a nicely made suitcase as opposed to one that strictly based on the cost. I find that the suitcase is well made and durable.

Love the color and finish
Beautiful suitcase. Finish almost looks like Liquid Metal, very cool. Took it on the first flight and it did great. It rolls beautifully and holds a lot of items without going over the 50lbs. We did get a cover for it because it’s a darker, shinier finish and could show scratches.

Great Quality and Long-Lasting!
I’ve been using this luggage for almost 3 years now and have taken it on multiple overseas trips. It’s picked up some scuffs and scratches along the way, but that’s to be expected — it’s still strong, durable, and handles travel really well. I travel solo with two of these and use them across planes, trains, and cars. They roll smoothly and are easy to push or pull. When packed overweight, they can be a bit harder to manage, but at around 50 lbs (23 kg), they perform perfectly. Excellent quality for the price — definitely recommend!

Good luggage for hard side
Nice luggage, well made and sturdy. Arrived with a scratch already on outside shell Not pleased about that! Wouldn’t purchase again- wheels get stuck in elevators, sidewalk cracks, Miss having pockets , zippers are touchy unless the e tension is zipped. The good: holds a LOT! The separation in middle is nice with zipper flat holder between sides. Handles seem strong . Never had clamshell or hard sided and wouldn’t choose again.

Liked it so much we bought 2 more!
I travel a LOT for work. And I'm an over-packer. So this is the perfect bag for me. First off, it looks quite fab...the eggplant purple color looks better in person and is quite unique and stylish. This has been on 4 round trips cross country with me now and tho scratched up a bit and lost her little "Samsonite" label tag (sad face), she's otherwise in great shape and appears ready for anything. I have dragged my little travel companion here over rocky parking lots, gravel, cobblestones, dodgy carpets, up and down endless escalators, up and down concrete hotel stairs, lugged her into and out of innumerable taxis and rental cars...and she's still in prime shape, ready for her next adventure. No problems ever with zipper or wheels or general sturdiness AT ALL. Very lightweight! Wheels being spinners take all the pressure off you so no pulling or pushing...it's like walking a well behaved little dog that trots alongside you. Love the "expander" that lets you pack more stuff than you planned! They zip down if not needed too. Great feature. Last week I took this to San Fran for a 3 day trip and it held WITH expander open all this: gym bag completely filled with gym gear and shoes, 2 pairs calf length boots, 1 pair regular heels, 3 extremely bulky sweaters, 3 pairs jeans, pajamas, couple t-shirts, necessities, a bubble wrapped glass candle to scent the hotel room, makeup bag approximately 12" x 12" x 3" (it takes a Village...!) and more stuff - and I STILL had a bit of room left. Note that I didn't "roll up" clothes - just folded some and others just "stuffed in" as I was on the rush. So if you did it properly and cared about such things, I'm sure it could hold a small closet especially if it were just your summer clothes. On one non business trip, we packed a King sized blanket and pillow in one and a giant leaf blower in another one with 2+ foot lengths of driftwood jammed in as well, no problems. Yes. It's amazing what this can handle. Only downside is this thing IS huge. If expander is open, I hate using escalators bc it gets a bit dodgy sitting on the little step correctly - so I just use elevators then, no issue It might just be me who finds this tricky tho. Hoisting it into and out of my rental car is always is fun but that's true of any giant bag like this. Wish it wouldn't scratch so much but that's true of all hard shell bags also and it doesn't mar how cute it is. I LOVE the purple eggplant color! Still looking good after lots of abuse and scratching really isn't so bad considering all the flights this thing has been on and the abuse I've subjected her to. It's always the ONLY hard shell purple case on the baggage carousel so very easy to look for. As I can't be bothered to figure out the lock it came with, I just use my regular luggage lock and it works perfectly all together. If you need a BIG bag that's sturdy and reliable, and looks fab as well, this is the One!

Three wheels disintegrated on first use
After a single trip, three of the four wheels have disintegrated--as in, they actually shredded into pieces down the center. We took the bag to Italy for 11 days. That meant some amount of pushing the bag on sidewalks and cobblestone, but not much; we stayed in each place for a minimum of two days and used taxis for several hotel transfers. I'd say the total amount of actual pushing time was 3 hours, and of course not all of that was outside. That was enough the destroy the bag. I'm quite sure it wasn't caused by a single incident of mishandling because I watched over the course of the week as one wheel shredded, then another, and finally a third. This, of course, qucikly made the bag miserable to push around. That alone would be one thing, but then consider that the wheels are of a riveted design, making it difficult or impossible to replace the wheels. I also found the design to be fairly poor. The wheels are pretty small, so the bag doesn't handle even small bumps well, and the spinners rotate far enough in that the bag frequently tips. Because of this, you can't push the bag directly in front of you without it tipping, thus reducing some of the space-saving benefits of the spinner design and causing a fair amount of wrist strain from having to push it at an angle in front if you to avoid tipping. I do not recommend the bag at all. Find a spinner bag with stronger, larger wheels and better balance.

It is constructed well and is TSA.
Great suitcase. Large enough for two people. The locking mechanism is great for TSA.

Quality was very poor, the suitcase felt very thin and not sturdy...
It felt very flimsy. The color was very beautiful and wonderful details second to none. But I am not sure it will stand up to the abuse it will indure while in transit.

Great quality luggage
So far so good it made it with no damage or scratches from Canada to Ft Lauderdale and this was on two separate flights. The actual luggage looks amazing and easy to travel with. It has large compartments and will hold a lot of luggage. It also arrived on the day it was suppose to. The only thing weird was the delivery. One suitcase was delivered by Purolator and the other one came by Canada Post, I am not too sure why but in the end they arrived and I like them.

Parfait!
