That may have been because I was busting moves to "Snap - I got the Power" in an 80s acid house styleee, however, I can tell you this, when the burgers and snags are needing constant turning and the heat would normally abuse my hands like no business these babies made it feel like I was cooking over a block of ice. Not only did they stop the cursing and constant BBQ tool swapping between hands, at one point I was turning the foiled corn-on-the-cobs by hand!!! The men-folk who were glugging my ale whilst telling tall tales as I was flipping patties were more than impressed and said they would be purchasing a set of these for themselves. At £9 or whatever they were (including a bread knife that is not bad either), why wait?
