Composting for a New Generation: Latest Techniques for the Bin and Beyond

This is an awesome book with so much information regarding composting.

The media could not be loaded.  We just started composting and I was getting grossed out by leaving things in a bag when I was collecting food wastes. This little composter sits on the kitchen sink, is cute and out of the way. Best of all no tiny fruit flies or stinky smells if we can’t get it out right away. Great investment.

I looking for a simple reference book that would give me choices in one place. This is nicely done. SIMPLE and thorough. My brother borrowed the book...so I will speak to wormology when I get it back

I have been in the composting industry for 19 years providing assistance to every kind of composting facilities, from large regional ones to home composters. There is some good books out there, but none is as comprehensive and explains the science behind it in simple language while still being accurate, as this book does. While the main audience is small scale and backyard composting, this book is incredibly helpful for large facility operators too.I found very valuable that the author explains h difference between composting and other approaches such as bokashi and other gardening methods while also explaining how all of these approaches are compatible.I have sent a copy of the book as a thank you gift to some colleagues in the industry. I have been looking for something useful they will appreciate and this book is just the perfect gift! I know this will become their go to recommendation book.

I searched high and low to find an excellent resource book about composting, and this book ticks all of the boxes. It covers the why, the how, and the intriguing science behind composting. The author brings the topic alive in such an engaging way. She is funny, clever, and SMART! I am so impressed with the organization of the book as well as the fantastic information withing the pages.

Love this book! The author writes in such a way that you feel like you’re having a chat with a good friend. She lays out the steps to composting in a way that is super easy to get you started, and has included fantastic pictures. She’s incorporated humor into her the book, making it a very enjoyable read. I highly recommend!

This is a gorgeous book! I have tried composting at various times over the years without much success. With this as my guide I am ready to try again. The book lays out instructions for multiple methods detailing everything you need for each including "recipes " for each kind and equipment needed. Detailed instructions for DIY composting bins and tools are illustrated with clear photos. It is well organized with helpful appendices. Surprisingly it is also an entertaining read (It is about compost after all) . You feel as if you're having an informative and entertaining chat with the author. Highly recommend. Easy to use with terrific photos!
