A solid reliable laptop
I have owned many Dell computers in my lifetime and this one is a solid performer for gaming and everyday usage. Its only weakness is that the audio port seems to be a dust magnet and has to be blown out regularly to maintain a connection to an external speaker or headphone. I got tired of blasting it with a can of compressed air so I just use Bluetooth for external sound with it now.

Endless problems
Have had numerous serious issues with this laptop since I bought it. Every windows update breaks something else in the software. The Alienware command center app is a RAM hog. Playing WoW with discord open and the Alienware system monitor overlay was using 15 GB of RAM. The "Gaming mode" button that turns on turbo performance is also reportedly responsible for frying people's CPUs. I think mine is a victim of that as well. The PC overheats without the turbo mode on because the fans hardly work in normal performance mode. Mine likes to shut off randomly without warning or errors. I first thought it was overheating but it does it sometimes within minutes of being turned on for the first time in a day. Today, it shut off twice so I pulled the cover to check the battery connection. After unplugging the battery and plugging it back in, the PC would not turn on for about 30 minutes at all. It also now will not turn on unless it's plugged in, regardless of the battery charge, which remains at 81% and healthy according to the BIOS. Every update of windows or audio drivers changes the settings and defaults of my headphones to something else. There's are 3 locations of settings to choose which audio hardware you are using, and they all get swapped around. Having to dig through each one to figure out why my mic stops working for example, is annoying. These issues are far beyond my ability and desire to fix. In short, this has been the most problematic PC I've ever had the displeasure of using. And at $1700 it's laughably bad. A "Gaming PC" that overheats at idle while the screen is in sleep mode is just stupid.

Excelente computadora para cualquier uso. Su memoria RAM de 16GB resulta insuficiente para usos de alto rendimiento, pero dispone de slot de expansión.

Amazing with some minor setbacks
Its a great laptop for the price. There are problems with over heating and bloateare from the initial turn on and use. These problems can be circumvented if you do a fresh windows install and install a 3rd party app yo control the fans as the dell software is horrible for fan control. Keynote: the Dell software will tell the fans to start revving up when its already too late and your GPU is cooking. Another reason people may stay away is the bios upgrade for some reason limiting the size of RAM to 32g. Not a huge deal but we are heading into a world where RAM is being logged by all types of bloatware so 64g is becoming the go-to. All of this being said, you get a solid piece of machinery and graphic power for the price and if taken care of, can last quite a while before needing to upgrade to the next best thing. P.S. if youre still getting overheating. Get yourself a quality laptop cooling pad to decrease those temps by like 10°C. Don't complain that it'll be too loud because you'll most likely be wearing headphones.

HONEST REVIEW!
Very powerful gaming computer. Excellent sound, graphics and gameplay . Works well for business and home use. Very satisfied. Be sure to update drivers after purchase. I've read about issues if you don't but i haven't experienced them.

Very solid gaming laptop
Very nice performance. It's about what you'd expect from a laptop with these specs. This thing is big, but it's not as thick as my previous gaming laptops so that's a nice plus. The fans do crank out and be loud, but that's to be expected from any gaming laptop. The IPS screen looks very nice, and mine came with very minimal IPS bleed. The speakers are ok, and the mic quality according to my friends sound like an Xbox 360 mic so you may want to invest in a decent headset.

Too much down time and restores
Seems to spaz out every time there is a Win 11 update.

Lesson Learned
You see the price and the rating and you think to yourself, wow! That's a great deal for those specs! You see the 4 star rating and accept the risk. And now you're reading the one star reviews like you should have before the purchase. Absolutely nothing but issues from the moment it was unboxed. The screen won't turn on. The only way to get the computer to boot was performing a hard reset by holding the power button for 35 seconds, and using an external monitor. Computer bluescreens during setup. Flashing error codes 2 yellow, 4 white. Overheats while idle / sleeping. Completely unusable and a tremendous disappointment. Easily the worst purchase I have ever made in life. Owned for less than 24 hours before requesting a refund.

The PC is working really great, FPS are amazing on AAA games. I have only two complaints : The power cord is HUGE. Way too bulky The computer run hot, can’t really use it without a cooling pad

The worst laptop I’ve owned. Returning it. • Constant blue screens, especially when playing Battlefield 2042. Random restarts mid-game make it impossible to enjoy. • Cheap, low-quality packaging that didn’t feel protective at all. For the price, I expected better. • Bulky power supply in a form of a brick 1/4th the size of the laptop itself. • Crashes, overheating, and restarts ruin the gaming part, definitely not worth the price.

Great laptop so far. Upgraded to 64gb ram and installed a WD black 4TB for my primary and using the 1TB for storage. Upgrading was easy, which is nice for a laptop. I typically run CAD/CAM programs, which this runs with ease. Computing toolpaths is fairly quick for a laptop. OS loads quickly, programs load quickly. She does get hot though and like others are saying - the power brick weights almost as much as the laptop. So this is more of a desktop alternative than a portable computer. And do a fresh OS install to clear out all the Dell bloatware and minimize software issues. Buy it when its on sale - 1800cad was a fair price.

Heats up fast if your playing high graphic game would recommend getting a laptop cooling fan to go underneath
