An option for an outside cover made for the machines protection from weather. I made one out of a clear plastic box I bought at Publix. It’s working like a charm.

I'll get started by saying this fence charger is not even a year old. I was working in my shop when I started to smell plastic burning I started looking around and found this fence charger smoking and it had already started to burn a hold in the plastic. I will never get another zareba fence charger ever again.

If you want the horses to stay in and away from the fence this does the job well. They quickly develop a great respect for the fence with this unit. Build a little roof over it if you live in rainy or snowy climates and can't install it indoors. This is the best fencer unit I have owned to date, highly effective.

Works great except that the included lightning protector cuts fence voltage from 15.6 kilovolts to 10.6. That's fully 1/3 of it's power restricted by the protector.

I live in Alaska and we have a lot of bears in my area. I have horses and chickens, both of which can be bear magnets. I had a lower joule box I used for years that I wasn’t really comfortable with. I got this box and holy cow! Don’t touch the wire!! It is very powerful and keeps the neighbor’s dogs away (I heard him Yelp when he accidentally touched the wire) and I would think the bears definitely think twice about coming around here.

It works great, keeps my horses where they belong, was strong enough to do our entire 10 acre pasture. Easy to set up. If you need something strong to run a lot of fence this little baby is a great choice

Big and heavy, no scrimping on the quality of the internal components. The stormguard works amazingly well.

Lots of power. Bought to keep bears out of my bees. Haven't had a problem since. Don't touch it. I haven't but a friend of mine did and she was sure slow for a while after.

This product works extremely well. I would definitely recommend for other farmers wanting to have reliable power to keep their animals inside the fenced area
