versatile for home projects
I purchased these panels to see how they would look in a few different places in our home. We ended up using them on the back of our home bar and they look fantastic. They were easy to cut down to size on the table saw and even easier to instal. All it took was 6 wood screws on each panel and voila! I am really happy with the look overall and highly recommend this product.

They're Triangle Shape
I didn't see from the pictures because I wasn't looking closely enough, but these are triangle shaped wood slats which adds an element of interest to an already three dimensional idea. I like the look of this. I found it to be more fragile because of this so bear that in mind.

This set came with a fixable manufacturing defect. These panels ad a nice vibe to any room.
First thing to note, I have ordered and reviewed other panels that are exactly the same in design as these panels, so I will provide some of the same information as left in another review, and my specific thoughts on these styles of panels. This specific pair of panels came with a manufacturing defect with the felt backing not being offset underneath the wood slat on one side (so that the panels can match up and keep the same width spacing between the wood slats). this results in a large panel gap, when joining the two panels. This can be fixed so that the panels can be set up uniformly to each other; I’ll have to lay them face down (on a carpeted/soft surface to protect the wood veneer), then the approximate ½’ of felt along the length of it will need to be cut off and removed. This will leave the proper spacing for them to connect together and keep the uniform spacing between the slats. (see pics of difference).Regarding the panel design, I do like these style panels, though they are prone to damage as there is only a wood veneer.Having a well acoustically treated room is important for critical listening spaces or for recording studio applications. Shaping the sound of a room requires a few methods of treatment; isolation, absorption, and diffusion. These acoustic panels add some absorption, mixed with diffusion. The approximate 1⁄2'' thick wood slats will still reflect sound waves like a hard wall, but with them being spaced apart and raised from the soft absorptive backing they will diffuse some of the sound waves in different directions. The absorption of sound waves is handled by the ⅜” soft backing felt material. These panels are good for helping to control hi and mid frequencies, Preventing slap-back and flutter echoes from parallel surfaces (walls/floors/ceiling).For controlling low frequencies/bass in a room requires much thicker acoustic panels, referred to as “bass traps”, that are often placed in the corners of rooms as that is where the low bass frequencies will resonate and muddy the sound of the room. The panels came in a pack of two that covers a sixteen square foot area of wall. To treat a complete wall that is 8’ tall by 14’ wide would require ordering seven of the dual panel packs (14 panels total). Considering the selling price for these panels, you can see how costly these acoustic panels are to treat a complete wall. Yeah, quality acoustic treatment is not inexpensive. The panels do have a nice clean, modern feel and add a bit of style to the room visually. These panels are easily mounted on walls with screws or nails. These are effective acoustic panels that can be implemented into new full wall builds or smaller spot applications. They are definitely worth looking into if you are someone that is looking to acoustically treat a room. It does take some planning, and proper placement of various treatments. These are nice panel options, but costly, as with most good quality acoustic treatment options.

These wood panels proved to be the exact decor I needed for my guest bedroom. It matched perfectly with my apartment's aesthetic and decor. The quality was great, and the build was great for the large wall I placed them in.

The slats are quality but install takes some finesse
In order to cut this wall panels and not have them separate from the felt you need to staple them about every 3 inches prior to cutting. When you flip them over you will see cuts roughly every foot but if you cut at 18 inches the wood will move on it’s own accord due to being in the middle of the two staples. This was a hassle due to me not knowing the issue until after attempting to cut it to fit. After stapling everything is simple install goes smoothly. Just be sure to staple the individual wood pieces to the panel prior to cutting.Until We Meet AgainOff the Grid Ken
