Sold as a set of 2 pieces or a set of 2 pair?

One set of 2 pieces---I found the description confusing ,if not intentionally misleading!

Are these like the ones we used back in the day when we would starch the heck out of our wranglers? Is there another name for it other than pant stre?

As near as I can remember from many years ago, these are the same pant stretcher I used. I know of no other name for them. I used them more to keep from having to iron my jeans rather than stretch them.

Would the pants stretcher stretch the legs on jeans ?

They only 'stretch' out the wrinkles from the Wash/Dry cycle. They simply eliminate the need for ironing. Not mean't to lengthen the legs. This particular 'model' comes with adjustable length....okay for shorts, but for Jeans or other non-shorts, I recommend other models without the adjustment for length....makes for a sharper crease in the fabric.

How does the lock at top and bottom work? I can't get the clip to engage with frame and lock. I checked for a "how to" video and did not find.

Here are the following steps on how to use this item: 1. Pull out Pant Stretcher to a length slightly longer than the length of the pair of pants. 2. The smaller end of the Pant Stretcher should be inserted into each of the pant’s legs. 3. Adjust the width of the Pant Stretcher by pulling the wires apart. 4. Slide the locking spring forward to release, move and re-lock the Pant Stretcher and the desired position. 5. Hook over shower rack or hang from drying rack.
