We tried the cheap, toy-ish hair bling kits before and they were horrible - the jewels jammed, and the ones that did apply didn't stick. This model is completely different. It worked flawlessly and the jewels all stayed n throughout our daughter's entire dance recital Easy to use and looks beautiful.

I am reviewing the Blinger Shimmer Starter kit with Gold-Plated Gem Stamper and 90 cut glass crystals. This is the first blinger kit that I have seen that seems to be particularly geared towards adult women. Not that women can't use the kid's version, but this package shows a grown woman with sparkles in her hair, not a child or teenager. Another detail is that the crystals included aren't just rhinestones, they are specifically Swarovski crystals. Most children wouldn't care about the brand name, but a fancy pants woman (like myself) would be swayed by the higher end crystals. In addition, the blinger tool on this is....well BLINGIER than the other bingers I have seen. It is shiny shiny gold and feel luxurious. This particular kit is like getting a Lexus instead of a Toyota. All that being said, this kit is supposed to take crystals and stick them to your hair and/or your skin using a tool. THAT is what it advertises. The process is simple. You load the machine and then use the machine to stick the crystals to your person or someone else. That is what it does, and following the straightforward directions or video online, you will get what you want from it which is little crystals on whatever you put it in. So I don't need to argue about what it should or shouldn't cost or do. The kit is advertised at a particular price with a particular task, and it delivers on the task exactly as advertised. By the way, it also look really nice in the box. So if you are getting this with the intention to give it away, it presents really beautifully. It is well packaged and elegant looking, and ultimately it works. So, I don't know why this kit would ever get low reviews. On the other hand, could you just buy a bunch of sticky crystals and manually stick them to yourself? Sure thing! LOL but this is much more fun. And honestly...before you bought this, you knew you had the power to stick crystals on yourself manually. Didn't you? By the way, as long as you don't lose the crystals, you can use them again. If you are meticulous, you could reload the empty crystal circle with new crystals too or the old recycled ones. It isn't rocket science. Honestly, my one comment to the company would be to make the blinger have a storage area. That is the only upgrade I think this kit needs. The blinger itself is small, but it would be nice if the extra crystals could be stored somehow in the machine. NOTE - You may have seen the line above my review that says, ''Amazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product.'' So you may be thinking, ''Who cares what this person says because of course they will say nice things because they got something for free?!?'' I know because I used to feel the same way when I read reviews! Well, you may not have realized this, but vine reviewers are subject to having to pay taxes on these items. So, in a way, it's not really ''free.'' Also, we have no reason not to give full honest opinions. We don't get dropped out of the program for rating things too high or too low. Therefore, my goal is to review the products honestly and thoroughly. I hope that I did that for you today.

Lovely gift set of gold coloured blinger styling tool with 90 Swarovski crystals in 2 sizes(5mm&4mm) and 3 colours (crystal, light silk, light rose). Styling tool is extremely easy to use and effect is instant. Crystals are sticking well to the hair or fabric and they shine amazingly in the light. Yes it is bit pricey but Swarovski crystals are worth it. Recommended.

This is a hair bedazzler, it’s a really nice hair tool, which has 90 Swarovski crystals included in this kit. The idea is great, as I love sparkles and have very long hair. When I opened it, I found it a bit difficult to open the compact, as there’s a lip that holds it closed which was very fiddly, but once I had worked out how to open, I put it all together. The idea is that you put your hair into the slit, and press it together. This pushes the gem through the hole and on to the hair, with the help of the back plate pushing gently to attach it to the hair. then removing the hair you are done. I found it very difficult to do my own hair especially on top of the head, because you can’t see what or where you are placing the stone’s. Especially around the back of the head. To use this you will need two people to apply them properly. This will be really good for wedding hair, party time, as the sparkle you get will be reflected from the stones as the light hits them. They can also be used for other things, but I’m not going to as if they brush out of the hair, you can’t be sure how long they would stay on.

Essentially a sticky gem applicator. A lot of faff for a simple function. Yes it works but I just think it's over-hyped especially @£65! For kids maybe, @ no more than £30

I got this for my granddaughter. It's a nifty idea, a gadget that chan affix gems straight onto the hair. I have deducted one star, because it's a bit overpriced, but I'm sure the price will come down eventually. It's fairly simple, you just thread a piece of your hair into what I call the press, and in moments, you have sparkles! There are enough gems to begin with, though I'm not sure where you'd get more. It's just the thing for a night out, or a special celebration. Both little girls and adults will love this.

The Swarovski crystals are flat-backed and sparkly and there are three different colours. I lost the rubber band that held the applicator closed quickly, which made it impossible to keep closed and easily put away. It's hard but not impossible to add to your own hair, it is easy enough to remove. I think it works best for either kids or if you're going to a party and want to look a little extra. It's not the first or only "sticky gem for hair" product, I used to have one as a kid, and as such I do think it is a little expensive for what it is.
