DVD+R DL Double Layer 8.5GB 8X Life Series White Inkjet Hub Printable - 50 Pack Spindle

I crashed my Windows operating system. To download the repair disk, these were needed. I couldn't find them locally. Glad I found them here.

Great discs, but Amazon keeps shipping them in an unpadded bag so that the plastic container gets banged around and shattered.

Pros: Good for labeling with marker. So far no write errors (first 4 discs). I only burn long movies on these, or backups if I need 8GB. Cons: After burning standard DVD video on a BD writer, these discs do not play in my BD player. These are the only discs that give the "invalid" error when starting in the BD. But they will play in a standard DVD player. However, after burning on standard DVD writer, they will play in the BD player. I recommend burning movies on these discs using only a standard DVD writer. No other disc I used out of 3 brands had this issue.

I have ordered these several times and I use them to preserve video. Got the Verbatim brand on the recommendation of my brother who works in video film and imaging. They aren’t the cheapest buy but the price is good. The Verbatim brand is known for quality, seldom a bad disc in the batch and durable for the long term.

Out of ten disc I have tried to burn, only two disc were able to burn successfully. Eight of them were bad. I tried three different burning apps and they all were not able to complete the burning process. Got media write errors. I will not order any more of these disc from any one no matter the price. Now I have a spindle of about 40 coasters, that is bad disc that I cannot use for anything. Will contact Amazon for a refund or replacement.

I had been purchasing DVD-DL for several years now and tried several different brands. Some of the brands become inconsistent in their quality and then improve again. When Verbatim DVD-DL disks went on sale, I bought a 50-disk cake and was impressed that I only had about two or three coasters--usually due to computer resources issue while burning. I'm sure a new computer would help or moving/deleting lots of files currently on my hard-drive. Yes, I would buy this brand again in the future.

A very reliable brand that I have used for over 30 years. No problem with this order either.

I am giving two stars as not well packed and casing is broken as its arrived. I ignored as its ok if DVDs are working. Tried to copy on two DVDs but giving error, later found that it got small scratches on corners due to printable surface on DVD below it due to transportation. Initiated return but i urgently required a DVD, later day tried one DVD from middle and it started writing but gave error on 71%. I am using other brand DVDs, not a single gave error. Return initiated
