As others stated add marine grease to the trans mine was dry. Direct fit everything worked no issues. Metal spur is alittle loud so I may switch back to plastic till that dies. Not bad at all for the price update: 2 days later let my 13 year old daughter mess around and some how she blew it up making a ticking noise try one more time if it die will go back to stock

Very good quality product. Fit with absolutely no issues. Would highly recommend opening the unit to fill with more grease. Also it it worth mentioning that if you intend to use the included metal spur gear that it will also require grease as the motor gear is metal. I ran it for a minute after installing and found that it was very loud before adding grease.

As other reviews stated, assembly ships dry. The screws holding it together were loose, thankfully I was pulling it apart anyways. It has some nice weight to it. It is louder than stock but that's just how metal gears sound. Only ran it twice now and it holds up decent. I suspect low gear is lower than stock as it's slower than stock, however it remains to be seen if has more torque. Over all would definitely recommend. I needed new transfer case gears and a new tail housing. This was the best bang for my buck so far.

So to start off, defiantly take it apart to grease it. With that said, make sure the bearings are the correct size. I found one bearing that was absolutely the wrong size. i just stole one from my old transmission. Over all you get what you pay for. looks clean though. I probably wouldn't buy again from this supplier and try another, but pretty sure they're all made from the same company, just different suppliers.

Good 2 speed

Fits perfect and did the job without any fuss. You can add a shift servo if you want to shift between high and low gear. Mine arrived in high gear.

I’m leaving this 1 star review until someone from rclions contacts me about an issue I have with the transmission the points that engage the 2 speed rounded off and no replacements are available 60 bucks and this happens

Not one to give 5 stars because nothing is perfect. I am sure this has a blemish somewhere. However, I have over 40 MILES on this transmission and it’s still like day one. I purposely beat the snot out of it for testing because I have over 40 rc trucks and would like a “go to” company. Well I think I found that company. Thank you for a great product . Just make sure you check the spur gear for tightness. (its the metal spur gear thats loud not the transmission)

Perfect set up same as stock but all metal. Take apart and grease with synthetic

Loved it exactly what it is make sure as I did pull it apart and grease it it uses torx head screws T8

Quality gear box assembly. The only thing I didn’t like was that the internals were dry (good thing I like to take my RC things apart to inspect them before I use them).

Trans works good I recommend greasing before use. The front output shaft was not drilled straight for the grub pin so my front shaf wobbles a bit. Swapped in my stock front output and no issues.
