Cool Robot
This is a really well made robot and not hard for a 9yr old to build alone. The instructions to build are easy to follow. The first words of my daughter after turning it on and seeing it work were “wow this is cool, really cool”, I agree with her and it seems that the app has some good features as well. The kit contents are very well organized with lots of extra screws.

Highly recommend!
This was a great gift for our 10 year old! He enjoyed building it along with playing in the app to code and create for his robotic machine. Hours and hours of fun! Highly recommend!

My 10 year old put this together himself in about 6-7 hours. He loves it. Definitely a great product.

Never got this to work
My 8-year-old-grandson was very excited to get this for his birthday, and we spent quite a bit of time carefully assembling this (there are a LOT of pieces - there is NO way he could have assembled it himself). We followed the instructions carefully, and we were quite pleased when we finished the assembly, only to find it was inoperable. I tried taking the parts back apart and reassembling step-by-step and checking the contacts as well as the batteries - no luck. We were both pretty disappointed.

Bummer, maybe
UPDATE: Customer Support got back to me and are sending a new part. I have hope! The screws are tiny, and the pieces don't always fit together very well. I myself assembled it twice, and it still doesn't work. Reached out to customer support on Thames & Kosmos website, and have yet to hear back. Disappointing for sure.

Great first programmable robot
An easy first robot/programming experience. Built it with a group of children ages 7 to 14. Instructions clear, app clear and worked right away. Took about 3 hours total over 2 days from opening the box to having it move. Very worth the price.

Fun robot for younger kids!
I received this robot kit several weeks after ordering only to discover that half of the pieces were missing. My son was so disappointed. I ended up purchasing at a local retailer however, and it’s a great toy. Fun to build and fun to program!

Fun for 7 year old.
My 7 year old grandson loved this! He was so excited and wanted to put it together as soon as he opened it. He and his dad assembled it and he played with it for hours. Good purchase.

Extremely disappointed- no follow up support
Great product but the app isn’t available in Australia. If I’d known prior to purchasing I wouldn’t have bought it. Now I can’t get any replies from Thames & Kosmos support. They replied once to say they had to refer to another department, since then silence. And now too late to return it.
