Rubies Child's Rag Doll Costume, Small for Themed Parties and Halloween

I bought this costume for my 4 year old daughter to wear on Halloween 2012. This costume includes a dress with an attached apron and red yarn wig, I got the stockings separately. The top part of the dress is shear so a white undershirt is needed. I had to alter the wig a little bit and a couple pieces of yarn came loose but over all this costume was perfect. My daughter got so many compliments and she didn't even want to take it off at the end of the night and she tried to wear it again the next day. It does fit a little snug but my daughter is petite so this costume fit her perfectly otherwise one size larger may be needed. I hope this information was helpful.

I purchased this costume for one of my 3yr old girls. It was absolutely adorable. The hat can be a bit tricky because it is too full and does not want to sit on the head very well...Solution to that: I cut a small slit in the underneath portion of the hat and removed a bunch of the stuffing and then sewed in back up. It fit on my girls head so much better. Way worth the purchase!!!

Wouldn't purchase again! The dress was just ok looking but the quality was awful...there were loose threads hanging out all over the place and the red accent on the chest area was coming undone! The bows didn't look like the picture, they just looked like red rectangles with loose thread around them.....THEN, THE Bonnet was too small and was overstuffed and wouldn't stay on! my daughter said it felt like a big ball of cotton on her head. Does not attach to head whatsoever, just balances on your head!

I got this at a lower price than it is now but it is worth every penny! Adorable and well made for a costume. The small was a bit big on my 2.6 year old but the tie in back brought it together. Yes, like others we had to maneuver the hat/hair a bit by removing some of the stuffing but that was easy. Last night was a hit for my daughter - everyone thought she was adorable and we might just get another year out of it! Fast shipping. Packaged well. LOVE AMAZON!

Negatives:Made of very thin material so white top is see through; pretty typical of costumes.After wearing for less than an hour, the red detailing started to unravel which was unfortunate.The seam in the back of the arm also busted before we even went out trick or treating.The "hat" is more like a flat top and the yarn hair wasn't connected in multiple spots. To solve: We stabbed hair clips through the bottom layer of the cap and snapped them to her hair. Seemed to hold up pretty well after doing both sides and the back.Doesn't come with the striped socks...but those are cheap and easy enough to find.Positives:Despite all that, the costume is SO adorable.Stands out from the typical, more common costumes.Stretchy and comfortable! My daughter wears a size 6/7 and it fit great for the indoor halloween parade AND later when we needed to add layers underneath to go outside.

The costume was so cute with lots of compliments. I did have to remove some stuffing in the hat to make it fit better.
