This means that you will be able to make 2-3 grips from 1 roll of our paddling self-fusing silicone grip tape. IDEAL FOR CARBON FIBER PADDLES When naturally exposed, carbon fiber tends to be slippery in the water. The Hornet silicone grip tape will help you keep a steady grip. It is also a better alternative to wax that results in leaving sticky residue on your hands. EASY TO INSTALL In order to make sure your tape is installed properly, please follow the steps listed down below. COMES IN 6 COLORS Our silicone grip tape comes in 6 colors: black, blue, red, pink, clear and yellow. It is ideal for dragon boat racing, kayaking, canoeing and other types of watersport paddles. HOW TO APPLY THE SILICONE TAPE ON THE PADDLE Instructions on Applying the Tape Installation Steps Step 1: Separate tape from the clear liner (a little at a time). Slightly stretch the tape to activate the self-adhesive. Step 2: Apply tape to the paddle-shaft—overlap tape for the first wrap. Step 3: Continue wrapping tape up the shaft, overlapping the previous layer by half with each wrap. This is important as the tape is self-adhesive. Repeat this step until you have reached the desired length. Step 4: Make one final wrap, once again, completely overlapping. Step 5: Cut tape (preferably with scissors). Important Information Please note the tape will stick to itself. There is no glue or sticky adhesive. For the tape to stick to itself, you need to make sure you are applying it correctly and following the above steps. After installing the tape on the paddle, it is best to wait several hours before using it. If used right away, the grip might be slippery.

**Q: I need this tape to be abit tacky so my hands do do slip on my dragonboat paddle my friend has it in clear and seams to work so is it tacky??**
A: Yes it is tacky. It's self fusing tape, so it's not sticky in the sense of having glue, but more tacky. It's best to put the tape on and then wait at least 1 hour to let it settle, and then the tape feels grippy.

**Q: Can this be used to wrap around barbells?**
A: This tape sticks to itself as you overlap it while wrapping. I use it on a graphite paddle but I think it would be worth a try on a barbell. I bet you could ask the company.

**Q: How many feet come on a roll, 4 feet?**

I got this to put on my Gear Labs greenland paddle and I'm very happy. I didn't want anything that would damage my paddle. This is tacky, and hold great but isn't glue and doesn't hurt the fiber. I did a 17 mile paddle with wet, sweat, and mud and it didn't loosen and provided great grip. For a full length greenland you need 2 rolls. Update. I'm very happy with the 3 stars..works great in sweat mud cold warm water. I've used it for over 60 miles of paddling and it's still on.
