If you live in an area prone to winter power outages, this Renogy Pure Sine Wave Inverter (with ATS) is a total game-changer. I bought this specifically to keep my pellet stove running when the grid goes down, and it has performed flawlessly. The "Automatic Switch" is a Lifesaver The standout feature here is the Built-in Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). Here’s how it works: • You plug the inverter into a standard wall outlet and plug your pellet stove into the inverter. • While the power is on, the inverter simply "passes through" the utility electricity to your stove. • The moment the power cuts out, the inverter senses the loss and switches over to battery power in about 15 milliseconds. It’s so fast that the pellet stove doesn't even flicker or go into a shutdown cycle—it just keeps on heating. This is a game changer, because usually if my pellet stove turns off unexpectedly the house can easily become filled with smoke since the fan in the stove shuts off. Why Pure Sine Wave Matters- Pellet stoves have sensitive circuit boards and internal fans. Cheap "Modified Sine Wave" inverters can hum or even fry the electronics. This Renogy unit provides Pure Sine Wave power, which is just as clean (if not cleaner) than what comes out of your wall. My stove runs perfectly quiet on it. Setup Note: Keep in mind that this is the inverter only. You will need to purchase a Deep Cycle Marine or RV battery separately to power it. I paired mine with a 100Ah battery, and it provides hours of backup heat. The Verdict: If you rely on a pellet stove for primary heat, don't risk a frozen house. This inverter is reliable, well-built, and the automatic switching means you don't have to fumble with cables in the dark. Highly recommended!

Renogy Review The ATS inside this unit that is advertised to bypass the inverter completely *AND SAYS IN THE MANUAL* (see attached photo) doesn't actually bypass the inverter completely. When connected to shore power, you are limited by the 1000W of the inverter. It does not switch and bypass the inverter like it's supposed to. This is confirmed by two support techs I spoke with. I explained that that's not how the ATS is supposed to work, as per the manual and the advertisement. They wanted me to take video of it not working properly before they'd escalate to who is presumably a tech who is more qualified to discuss the matter with me. And that level of non-support was annoying, too. I had photos to upload of my wiring, as well as a picture of the inverter showing fault, and screenshots of the less than stellar app complaining about a power overload, *ALL WHILE PLUGGED INTO THE GRID*. And they still wouldn't escalate without me disconnecting from the chat, getting video, and then starting all over again with another tech (tech said it was company policy). Forget that, I'm just going to return this product. Anyway. That's not how the ATS is supposed to work. The manual very clearly says that when plugging into the grid, the ATS is supposed to bypass the inverter completely. If it actually did that, it wouldn't be complaining about a power overload when plugged into shore power and pulling a 1600W load. It would be totally understandable if on battery power, but not on the grid. Being limited to 1000W on-grid defeats the entire purpose of the ATS. But, c'est la vie. I'm returning this thing for something else and wiring up a couple relays to handle the switching. I double, triple, and quadruple-checked my wiring job, and I had an engineer buddy of mine double-check my work, too. It's not a wiring fault. And the associated app is terrible, by the way. Look at the reviews in the app store for that. I won't waste time here talking about it. I bought Renogy because of its history of having good products. I'm beside myself that the ATS doesn't work as advertised or described. Do not waste your money on this if you want a system with an ATS that works the way it’s supposed to.

Quiet Really solid Unit. Have this unit in my Room almost forgot is Running. Looks like The app missing few information from the battery like time remaining. Time for battery discharge but is ok they show the voltage Well Power Consumption is really Efficient better than my Power Station and other unit I just bought before.

Has worked great. Had it in my old RV and recently moved it into the new RV and it still works as expected.

Working good but missing 4 awg battery cables that are supposed to be included

Was using a low cost UPS (battery back-up) for TV and router backup in stormy Florida which worked fine. Decided to upgrade to higher capacity and longer battery backup with this Inverter with auto transfer switch. This unit paired with a new 100 ah Lifepo4 battery, couldn’t pass the simple test, pull the ac plug from the wall and have your items continue to operate as normal without a glitch. Too slow transfer speed? Poor design circuit? I don’t know and don’t care to figure out. Back to Amazon it goes and buy a different unit. My $69 backup with tiny lead acid battery was able to keep the show going without a hitch. Another issues was even in by-pass mode ( ac plugged in) the fan would run about every hour. Kinda distracting in the living room. No inverter load so why the heat buildup?The App did work well. I thought I was buying a brand name which meant quality. It has many good reviews but quality control might be slipping. On to the next manufacturer.

The DC side of the inverter works great. However, the AC passthrough function doesn’t work, at least on mine. The AC input terminals will not securely hold any gauge wire, but even when in place manually and connected to AC wall outlet, the device does NOT pass AC power through to connected AC loads. Disappointing for the price.

Renogy is leading the way in off-grid solutions. Quality products at a reasonable price. This Bluetooth inverter works as I expected it to.
