Q: I recently bought these housings but i also have opt7 h11 led low beams. Can i get theses bulbs to work in these housings?

I'm not sure if this'll help much, but you should be able to have those in that housing, you may have to rewire them in there as it comes with bulbs pre-installed.

Q: Does the drl activate instead of the headlight?

If you set it up exactly how you are meant to via the intructions, the drl will only light up when the headlights are on. I have my lights on Automatic, so if the running lights are on the drl is off, once its dark, both the headlights and drl light up. Best set of headlights I could find for the G8. You won't be disappointed.
