This little book is invaluable for a safari!!! I kept it handy every minute - constantly consulting it for the identification guides, journaling in it in the evenings and even on flights studying the different languages I will be encountering. Our guide was so impressed with it. I cannot say enough good about it. The only drawback is that, it is not super extensive. If you really want to identify every bird you see, you will need to buy an actual bird book. But if you’re just interested in the more common things you’ll encounter, this is perfect. Priced and sized just right!!

Easy to read, and find animals in the book... wish there were more animals, but my safari companions were jealous of this

Used this guide throughout my trip to South African and Tanzania. Descriptions, artwork, and information wonderful. Also contains very useful maps. This guide is all about the animals/birds and not about recommending places to stay/eat.

The book was great for looking up animals and birds that we saw on Safari in Kenya and Tanzania. It has a spit to record what you saw too. It was very useful.

It’s a complete guide. Can’t wait to use it on my trip to Tanzania.

Such an informational book to bring on safari. Great reference for going on safari as it displays the different types of animals and plants and information on different countries in Africa and even has a journaling section for when you spend time there. Would recommend this book for anyone that’s going on safari. I’m about to go to Botswana and South Africa in September and am really happy I came across this!
