The design on simple yet attractive and they worked great, in conjunction with food tents, to keep flying insects away from food during a late summer party held outside. I had one less thing to worry about and I could enjoy my own party instead of worrying about insects coming near the food arranged buffet style. Battery life has been stable, lasting for hours so far. It has also been useful when enjoying an outside meal solo. The adjustable arm allows for additional flexibility of placement.

These seem to work pretty well. I like that they bend. Kept flies off my wine glass. Haven't tried with table food yet. I would definitely recommend this style especially compared to others that are not adjustable.

In a hot summer by the water and not even one mosquito dared to get close ! These little fans gets the work done, so easy to use, and with the lightest brushing by they stop even on full speed making them very safe with younger kids around. love that you can twist them and hang them upside down, the batteries lasts long, (I have a rechargeable ones also but when the battery dies you have to wait to recharge) these guys are much easier, swap the batteries and you are good to go!!! These fly repellent 4-pack items have SO come in handy. The beach we frequent has lots of bbq/ picnic activity, so the trash cans attract a lot a lot of huge flies. These items are very lightweight but seem to be well-made. The bendable stems are very flexible but sturdy, so when you position it how you want it, it doesn't move after. Yet its flexible enough to pack away in the box tightly and easily. the propellers pop on and off and again, are easy to pack away in the box after use. it does use 2 AA batters per unit, and would be amazing if it were solar powered, but its good. It spins whisper quietly at a good speed, and does an awesome job of effectively keeping the flies away from our food. Its a good design, super easy assembly (pop batteries in, pop on the irridescent propellers, turn on switch (designed facing up rather than underneath the unit, so its that much more convenient to turn on amd off). I think these have an option to hang too, but we don't need to use it like that. The propellers stop if it meets any resistance, and doesnt hurt if you put your hand in its path (safe for kids). The units hold up well in wind, but for very strong wind, find a way to either put something behind it or weigh it down.
