The lamp has dozens of different lighting functions and the app lets you customize the effects really easily (it also includes a remote, with all the functions found in the app). You can change the colors (full spectrum) and the brightness - this light can get really bright or really dim. I really like that the app doesn’t force you to create an account or force you to access your home WiFi network for setup (although you can do this if you choose to).I’ve had lights in the past that ‘respond’ to music/sound but never worked very well. This smart lamp actually gives a nice light show according to the music playing and there’s several different lighting options.The lamp also has several dozen static AND dynamic lighting modes and the app allows you to configure them any way you like (color, speed, brightness etc.).In addition to all of these features, if you just want your lamp to function like a regular white-light lamp, there are different settings you can use depending on the temperature you want - ranging from 2700K (warm white) to 5000K (daylight). I typically use these modes the most and looks authentic.Finally, since the light is modular (4 pieces), you can make the light as tall or short as you want. If you want a shorter light, you can remove a couple sections and in the app you can configure the number of LED units used (each section is 8 LEDs) so that the dynamic modes still function as expected with a lesser number of lights. I suppose you could also order additional lamps and extend the unit to be as large as you want and adjust it in the app to function as you’d like.Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with this lamp. I really don’t have any complaints and for the value, you get way more than you pay for. There’s so many lighting functions and so many ways to customize the lamp to fit your space. Small footprint. Very cool colors. Doesn't throw a bunch of light. This is more for the effect of light, not for lighting. It's fun. Features and software are good. This is a plastic unit, not high end metal but it's really a pleaser.

• I love the remote - easy to use and I prefer not to use an app.• Setup is easy - connecting a few pieces.• I like that the pieces are not hard metal, it makes sense for this to be plastic (or whatever it is) and have a "light feel" to it. It's not heavy, feels flexible.• My personal favorite is the "blue light" (That's a David Gilmour song btw). It really makes a room look cool.• Unlike other lamps, you point it *towards* the wall, and the light shines..If you're looking for a unique accent piece to a room, go for it!

Despite the implication from the advertisement, this lamp does NOT have dedicated cool white and warm white LEDs. There is a "white" mode in the app and on the remote and it simulates changing from warm to cool however those colors are made as cominations of the red, blue, and green LED emitters. As such, the white light feels considerably more artificial than an actual warm white and cool white setup. That's a shame because the rest of the unit is exactly what I was looking for. The construction is sturdy, the light pattern is quite good, it's easy to assemble, and it feels solid on the ground. All in all quite good IF you are looking explicitly for this style of RGB lamp for something like parties. However, if you're going to use the white color 95% of the time like me, then you'll find the white light to be unsatisfying both in color representation and low output.

I'm not usually one for writing reviews, but this smart lamp deserves a shout-out. It's incredibly versatile, allowing you to switch between any color you desire. You can even program it to cycle through a sequence of colors, creating a beautifully natural glow that enhances the ambiance of a room – perfect for everyday home lighting or adding some holiday cheer. What's more, it seamlessly integrates with my Google Home, making it an essential part of my smart home setup. Absolutely love this floor lamp!

I have tried all of the troubleshooting, but this lamp is officially no longer working. When it is plugged in and turned on, it will only stick on the setting of a red light and then starts blinking. It has never been knocked over or damaged and the outlet works for other electronics, so I am left to believe that this lamp is a total dud. Don't waste your money.
