The pink salt should be approved for human consumption.The salt crystals arrive in a sturdy plastisized paper or plastic sack.A plastic or canning jar is suggested for dry long-term storage.The salt crystals are 1/8' to 3/16", in size and will require a sturdy grinder designed for grinding this product.It is suggested that those planning to consume this mineral check with your family physician for approval and necessary instructions.Finally, know that this raw salt contains more mineral content than standard iodized salt!

The product itself is great, its salt, cant really go wrong. However, the packaging leaves something to be desired. It is packed in a paper bag, and it was shipped to me in another paper (Amazon) bag. During transit, the bag of salt split open and there was probably half a pound of salt that had spilled out. It probably should have been in a box.

Is as expected. Exceptional color and taste. Very clean. Package came intact but I can see why other had busted bags because the bag is paper and very thin. The company really should go to a thicker plastic bag to protect the product better. Overall, I'm very happy with my first time purchase. Will definitely buy again. I was buying Costco Kirkland brand Pink Salt but its NOT Himalayan and it's NOT pink anymore. This will be my goto Salt from now on.

Taste is everything and this Himalayan salt taste great and grinds good in the salt grinder.
