Works great for the hydro ponics
I use this to monitor the PH on my tomatoes. It is working great and have no complaints. I have use a lot of different PH meters and this one is your typical economy level tester. I would only trust it to within half a PH. And i would take a sample and let the meter sit in the sample for 30 secs before taking a reading.

Convenient All in One
As someone who manages a saltwater aquarium, I was intrigued by the Yewhick 5-in-1 Salt Tester that promised to measure salinity, pH, TDS, conductivity, and temperature all in one device. Most aquarium test kits only cover a few of those parameters, so having them all combined sounded extremely convenient.Out of the box, the salinity and TDS readings aligned well with my existing test kits and the numbers I've come to expect in my established aquarium. The temperature reading also matched separate measurements. I appreciated not having to do any elaborate calibration to get accurate salt and TDS levels.Where I did run into some issues was with the pH testing mode. Similar to other reviewers, I had trouble getting a stable, reliable pH measurement that matched my traditional pH test kit. The reading would fluctuate quite a bit before seeming to settle into a number that didn't correlate with my aquarium's known pH level. The instructions weren't very clear on how to properly calibrate the pH mode or use the included buffer powder packets to ensure accuracy. It seems calibrating the pH may be required to get more precise readings in that mode.Even with the pH uncertainties, I'm still finding a lot of value in this all-in-one Yewhick tester for the other critical parameters it handles well - salinity, TDS, temperature. Having those tests combined into one meter instead of needing multiple separate devices is a great convenience for saltwater aquarium monitoring. For now, I'll continue to use my trusted pH test kit for that measurement. But the salinity, TDS and temperature modes have been reliable and easy to use so far. It's a good quality, affordable saltwater tester altogether.

Not The Best For Beginners
It comes exactly as pictured with extra batteries. It was marketed that it could be used for hydroponics but it is labeled for aquarium use. It's also not the best product for me, as a beginner. The instructions are vague, as if the company feels you have already used these types of meters before and can decipher the results or even if the results are incorrect and when the meter needs to be recalibrated. The instruction say that the meter is calibrated by the factory but then the instructions tell you to calibrate the meter and gives some instructions on how to do that. The instructions do not tell the beginner how often to calibrate the meter for maintenance. It may be a great little meter just not for newbies.

Nice!
This is a nice kit. It comes calibrated but also contains 2 premixed calibration solutions and 3 ready to mix. The has a wrist strap to prevent drops into the water and a cover to protect the electrode. The box it came in is convenient to keep everything neat and together. I have a salt water hot tub, a freshwater aquarium with plans to add a reef tank. This meter can be used on all three. I compared the results from the meter to both my aquarium freshwater test kit and my hot tub test kit (chemical, not strips). In my aquarium I tested TDS, pH, GH and the temperature. In the hot tub I tested, TDS, pH, GH, salt and temp. Results are instant, and in line with my chemical test kit and TDS meter. It read the lower temp in my aquarium immediately but took literal minutes to read the high temp in the hot tub, which is fine I don't really need it for that. It mentions electrodes are replaceable, for free under 6-month warranty which is great, but I don't see where they can be readily purchased for the unit after the fact. I rate the meter 5 star if they do become available for purchase, 4 stars if not.

Accurate
I use this for testing my spa water. The usual test strips I’ve used for years are difficult to interpret, questionably accurate and I always felt like I was taking an educated guess with them. This is soooo much better and targeted. My hubby was happy with this purchase.

Very happy sea monkey mama 🤗
This is a necessity for my pet sea monkeys as they need a specific range of salinity to not only thrive but survive. I immediately tested the last batch of water I mixed with sea salt to see why my sea monkeys died just a day after hatching. Turns out the salinity was WAY too high at 51 ppt when sea monkeys need to live in water with a salinity between 25-35 ppt. Now I can fine tune the water precisely by using this tool. Not a high enough salinity, add more salt. Salinity too high, add more water. Now my water is sitting at exactly 35 ppt. Can't wait to pour new sea monkey eggs into the water because now the last puzzle piece is in play since I already have the right temperature due to a heat pad, a grow light to grow algae, an air pump, and a thermometer. This device ties up loose ends as I now have every single thing for my sea monkeys to live long, healthy, happy lives!

Needs to be calibrated
Includes chemicals and instructions on how to calibrate - something this old man does not want to do. Wish it had been calibrated at the factory when it was manufactured.Made in China

Only some functions work or the instructions are wrong
This Yewhick tester kits comes with everything shown in the advertisement and includes everything you need to use it. The kit has a nice foam insert with sectioned areas to fit and hold each item very well for storage. The machine powers on easily and I can change the mode settings. However, perhaps the instructions are incorrect because when trying to use the TSD calibration, step 3 was my stopping point. The machine did not display what step 3 said it should display. I tried the process from the beginning 2 different times and the machine was consistent in its display and it was not matching up to what the instructions were showing. I tried pushing some other buttons to see if I could get to the correct screen that was needed for this TDS testing, but I could not. The temperature works just fine and I do not have distilled water to create the solution to test the pH, so I am not sure if that will work or not.
